Western Animes? Ride 'em, cowboy!

I haven't posted in like a thousand years. How bad of me.

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone knew of any wild west themed animes. I love westerns and cowboy movies, so I was wondering whether there's any good anime centered around the American Old West. Or even any characters in any anime, really.

Suggestions, please?

Thanks!

Trigun is stylized in a way resembling the wild west, though it's set on another planet in the distant future. That's probably the closest thing you'll get. And I'm guessing you've already seen Baccano since it's in your avatar, which is also one of the closer examples.

It's not Wild West per se, but you could always try Gun Frontier. Leiji Matsumoto is always a plus.

Gun Frontier is one of the stranger animes I've seen. Matsumoto casts Japanese in the role of native Americans living in a world dominated by racist white settlers. Sinunora makes the show worth watching, though I'm not sure I ever finished it.

Gun Frontier is the closest match I can think of to the OP's request. Even a show as replete with genre parodies as Abenobashi Magical Shopping Arcade doesn't have a Western episode.

Now that you mention it, I haven't finished it, either. And it was on at our local Animax not too long ago... oh, well, guess I'll have to hunt it down, now.

Alas, I've already heard of Gun Frontier and taken a look at it... but it was just too odd for me to bear with. xD Whoops.

I also know of "Kid" from Eyeshield 21, who is apparently a western character... of course, it's a football anime, but still!

Thanks for helping. Anyone else have any ideas?

EDIT;
jedinat, I'll definitely check that out. Thanks!

What about Early Reins:

and Wild Arms?:

Though Wild Arms isn't set in the west, per se, but it is definitely western-styled, sort of like Trigun.
