Oh, how could I forget about the bad end. Misha's not much for brains, but she certainly has the curves. I'm down with that.

No,what I mean is that her route only has one option,I have no idea how many ero scenes she has but it's definitely more than one considering how she is quite...ahem

....
Also, please forgive my idiotic grammar error

I'm going to assume I'm the only one who made this connection, even though they're very similar? Aside from the delinquency, their personalities and speech pattern match up almost as if they're twins. Maybe this explains why I've grown so quickly fond of our MC.

So I'm torrenting the VN right now, is there a way I can mount on a DVD disc for safekeeping? If so, how? This is pretty much the first time I'll actually be playing a VN btw. Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask or if I shouldn't be asking this here.

Katawa Shoujo doesn't have DRM of any kind, so yes you can copy it on a DVD or any other storage medium for safekeeping. In fact if you have an external HDD you can install the game and run it from there.

The software is legally free (imagine that) so I'm not clear on why you'd think it would have DRM in the first place

Great, thanks for answering. I didn't know what DRM was till I googled it, so thanks for mentioning it to me.

I know that, just a heads up for people who think it might given paranoia and all that

I heard about this game just yesterday and it looks interesting. How much time is needed to go through all the routes and get all the endings (assuming each ending, even the bad ones, are unique)?

Depends on your reading speed. I got through all the routes and side tracks within a couple of weeks a couple of hours at a time. It got much faster as I ran through snippets I'd already read (the game has knobs for speed, flipping forward, etc). There's a couple of nice map route posters locatable via google if you want to be methodical.

Lyrics (as heard by moi):
Yeah, maybe I should've started in a lower key
But then you wouldn't have even noticed me
I can be whoever you want me to be
I could be him, I could be her, why can't I just be me?

You can hate all you want, but you'll never get to me
It all goes through me
I'll do just what I please
Criticism for the soul, now just grow
You thought you brought me to my knees

Guess it's time I started writing the obituaries
Goodbye MV goodbye sorrow, you were legendary
There's no time for being shy, am I acting silly?
Goodbye bad times, hello Lilly

Yeah, maybe I should've made a better first impression
But dwelling on the past is for the weak
Other men and women will try to drown you out
Don't try to scream, just try to speak

You can hate all you want when you have no name
It's all the same, just trying to rise above the noise
Criticism close to heart, right from the start
But I just want to hear your voice

Guess it's time I started writing the obituaries
Goodbye MV goodbye sorrow, you were legendary
There's no time for being shy, or acting silly
Goodbye bad times, Hello Lilly

Guys, what are the odds that Katawa Shoujo (under a different name or otherwise) would have an anime adaptation based on its story?

Also, which people would make your dream staff (seiyuu, animation studio and production staff)?

Doubtful for Katawa Shoujo anime.

As for who I would want to adapt it in a perfect world. KyoAni, preferably with most of the team that did CLANNAD. Seiyuu, idk.

Gainax.

Go for the "Made Their Lives Worse" setting and end with the "No Girl Get" ending. It will be an epic mindfuck tragedy.

Cheers.

So, Kenji route adaptation? I wouldn't mind that at all

Although I think Katawa Shoujo would benefit from an Omnibus format more.

By the way... who would you bet that will be the main heroine?

Mine's Lily.... and hope they'll make her seen....

Except Hanako fares better IF you don't plow through her route. Her life gets much better if you go the Lily route instead.

Also... music box.

Cheers.

Hanako would be my second choice.... Her's is more of dramatic and emotional in nature so she's a good candidate...
