![]() On the other hand, Letter Bee still has humor and cuteness going for it. Just in the OP alone, it has the cutest horse I have ever seen in any context! Whereas this has... yeah... well, I don't want to stay up all night trying to think of something positive to say (and still failing, no doubt) so I won't bother. How studios can push out things like this and survive is beyond me. Quote:

I don't understand why Mai Hime would be a bad target. It was great! Even if the stories are similar (and I have no idea, there), Mai Hime stood out not for its story, but the phenomenal execution. If ANY anime this season was executed as well as Mai Hime, I'd be drooling over it, regardless of the story or censorship. Even if the premise was a shouta Allen Walker getting superpowers from breastmilk, while attending kindergarten under a new male teacher in a mysterious town where the residents turn into werewolves at night.

Watched the first episode and I found it... acceptable (for a lack of a better word). The episode was pretty average with enough stuff happening for me to watch a second episode. The artwork seemed a little off and the characters themselves weren't much to behold, but the fight sequence seemed pretty cool. I want to see a bit more of the show before I decide whether or not to follow this.

Well , me i don't mind about the breast milk even though it's weird
![]() At least , it changes of thoses typical anime with : "Once upon a time , a weak normal guy meet an incoming girl who is supposed to protect him etc ...... " or "meet an incoming girl in his bed ...." "then get a harem"

Man, what is UP with the Russian stuff in anime the last few seasons? So instead of the Brazilian mini-boom in anime a year or so ago, now it's up to Russians?
And funny thing is, these anime (also Durarara) treat foreigners like circus freaks. I shouldn't be surprised, but it's still funny.

I enjoy watching shows with no foreknowledge of them so you can probably guess how damned confused I was with the first episode before I started reading this thread...just...ugh...
They could have easily used shadows to censor and still preserve the scene instead of what they did. I actually enjoyed most of it except for the , at the time, extremely confusing cut aways from scenes to show nothing. Going to be sure to wait for an uncensored airing of this in the future...While I rarely do care about breasts I do like to watch something thats actually coherent.

Sasha was the nickname of Alexander the Great. Although the use of Sasha as a nickname for Alexander predates Alexander the Great, it's because of him that the nickname Sasha became so popular. However, I haven't found an explanation of why or how Sasha became the nickname for Alexander, only that it's a very, very, very long-established nickname.

![]() I hope you don't confuse the ancient greek Alexander (~300 BC), with some russian tsar; since Sasha, never existed as a name on any greek dialect (modern or ancient). It's kind of confusing to say that a civilization gave a nickname to someone predating it by more then a millenium. On the show, censorship was annoying, but then again far worse have happened; plus I read somewhere that AT-X is going to air it with a couple of weeks delay. Also there was quite some plot packed on the first episode, which is a very good sign.

Its ecchi, I started watching it because I wasnted to see how silly the pervertedness would be, but found I liked it, not that I have a problem with ecchi. lol. The way they draw the eyes makes me think of the K-on style... which I like.
Sasha is a Russian diminuitive (nickname) for Alexander, only in non-Russian countries will you occaisionally find a girl named Sasha, and I think I only know of one girl with that name. Its more commonly a guys name. Anyway, cant wait for the next ep! So many good series this year, and its only January.

I didnt even notice they were censoring the series until someone mentioned it, then I was like: heeeeeey! lol
I hope the dvds are uncensored. I dont like censorship really, but if its done in a more clever way like this than obnoxious blurring, or putting stupid graphics over scenes, then I dont mind it as much.
