Maybe not but considering how Medaka is a deliberate exaggeration of the main character, she is sure as hell gonna resolve them.

Wow, this chapter was great. Great interactions between Medaka and Kumagawa and Ajimu going nuts on that shadow again was funny. I'm really curious about the new role Kajiki gave to Shiranui.

Actual Kumagawa development, the "real" Shiranui, the reappearance of the doubles (surprisingly!), Anshin'in-san being AMAZING again... pretty good chapter, yeah.
The doppelganger fights should be damned interesting, particularly Ajimu's, if Nisio goes as far with it as he probably should.

Well, I have to say that on top of being about my favourite character in the series this arc looks very promising from the get-go. Can't wait for the next chapters!

I think the biggest shocker here is the fact that Shiranui isn't actually the gluttonous, bottomless, waste-disposal-for-food that she appeared to be.

Well I have to say, It's awesome that they actually gave Kumagawa some actual character development because ever since the end of the President elections, he's been been put into some sort of a comic relief role. Kumagawa was awesome as the big bad, especially in the minus arc and imo lost most of his awesomeness in the latest chapters following Medaka around in her journeys while providing a few comments here and there. So it's a good thing that they show that there's still a reason for him to get air time in this manga.

I wonder though, when did Shiranui and Medaka start hating each other? It seem like prior to the genre shift, they just had an odd relationship, rather than one of animosity

I sort of figured that from this we could assume that Shiranui's real reason for hating Medaka was because she had to live her life as Medaka's double, and didn't get a chance to live for herself(that added to her crush on Zenkichi)

If indeed, Medaka Kurokami would be the next head of the Kurokamis, then it is rather clear that in parallel, Hansonde is her grandfather's successor.

And Zenkichi has a good question. Being doubles, having to live their lives in the shadow of someone else. Do they have their own identities? Are they really their own person? No wonder Shiranui hates Medaka Beating doppelgangers....I'd say Misogi and Zenkichi probably have this the easiest. Being "Normal" and knowing what it is to be "weak" Ajimu and Medaka have it the hardest being as overpowered as they are. Especially with that "First Attack K.O." weakness they both have. This is an interesting start off

All the statements are lies so the middle path is correct. Have an idea what Shiranui's next role might be and if I'm right it might be very difficult for her. Spoiler for role theroy: herself. __________________ Higurashi: Its a bit like watching a trainwreck, except you keep getting to see different trains wrecking with roughly the same passengers, into a variety of different objects. Also, the trains are driven by monkeys. On LSD.
