Not gonna quote everything because it's kind of repetitive. But I think you have a very different understanding of what Devil Style actually is than I do. You keep saying "it's not about winning, it's about faith" but... it is about winning. That's literally all it is. It takes fate and chance out of the equation. You'll never get a lucky break, but nor will you get unlucky. It makes what you get exactly proportional to what you put in. It removes "possibility" and creates an entirely deterministic outcome. Devil Style is what makes it impossible for Zenkichi to succeed beyond his abilities. A normal person would get lucky after trying enough times. Maybe someone will get touched by their dedication and give them a chance. Zen never will. It explicitly takes "faith" out of the equation, or at least you'd have to be stupid to have faith. That's exactly why it's unnatural.

He'll keep trying until he realizes that his behaviour is destructive towards himself, but he is acting in accord to his will, and not giving up until you want to give up is one of the virtue of humans, even if you know you're outmatched, even if you fail sometimes.
Minuses never actually give up in this series, oddly enough. They keep trying even though they know they'll fail. This is why Medaka, among other people, have said that a Minus is stronger than a Plus. They can keep going even though they know that their effort will never be rewarded. By contrast, a Plus will get what they want even if they give up, even if they lose. Medaka lost to Zen in the election. But didn't she gain something even better? You yourself said that she seemed 10 times happier after being "freed". Zenkichi freed her. Even in loss, she gets what she wants, what she didn't even know she always wanted. That's what makes her a Plus. It's not like Kumagawa's never beaten someone up or them to surrender, it's just even in victory he loses by never getting what he wants.

Last place this week lol. You're also forgetting that noone argued against the "it's going to get cut" group more than I did during the first 18 months of this manga. Things change... Or in medaka boxs case, things like manga sales and toc rankings don't change, which is the problem.

Kuroganes gonna get cut too, both these cuts are obvious. Hunter x hunter going on hiatus, Reborn ending, momji getting cut and the anime airing have probably giving nisio enough time to do a decent ending unlike mx0 and mago.

I don't give a shit. We are clearly at the last arc, so the series will eventually end just fine. Sorry but I already know this story and in my mind is still fresh the memory of those who predicted the series was gonna get the cut after the first 25 chapters aired. It didn't happen then, and it certainly won't happen now.

Now give me my spoilers and let me enjoy some good Shiranui and Kumagawa.

What, does that some how make you more noble that you argued against it being cancelled?

If it is not getting cut or Nura'd, it might end when a volume ends. Though I admit I am not even sure whether naturally ending series would attempt to end when it has enough content for its last volume.

The next volume will end at 167 and the one after 176. Since it's not likely it will end any time that soon, it might at least run for 2 or 3 more volumes. Which means end at 185 (unlikely and 1 volume from now), 194 (2 volumes from now), 203 (3 volumes from now) or 212 (4 volumes, and round even number and ran longer than Nura in WSJ).

Anyone thinks this series is gonna run longer than that?

"It's clearly ending soon" is pretty much the same thing as "it's going to get cancelled", yeah.
I really don't see any indication of either, personally.

It is going to end eventually but it will be a fun ride nonetheless and it will become classic shonen that is way up there with Saint Seiya, Fist of the North Star and Dragon Ball. I just don't see this manga lasting that long espcially since the story being as meta as it is. Even if the author planned this thing to be longer, it will become the very thing it is imitating and there is no real challenge to Medaka herself anyway.

Dragon Ball was good for its run but after the Frieza saga, it got ridiculous and the characters are too powerful for any sort of villain to pose a threat.

This has come true to an extent.

Same here, though that this is the last arc is I dare say very possible, unless Nisio has a bigger revelation in the store.

Is it? I don't think it's the same thing at all. Not every story is designed to go on indefinitely. Ending because you've reached a natural stopping place is very different from being forced to come up with an ending within X chapters from editorial fiat.

I agree - though Calvin & Hobbes wasn't exactly "story driven" (though it did have weekly arcs at times), I remains one of my all-time favorite comic strips because the cartoonist ended it on his terms, rather than milk the cash cow.

Huh? As far as I know, 万 is 10,000 in both Japanese and Chinese. Therefore, 64*10,000=640,000. To be 64,000 it would have to read 64千

Yes, 64 万 would be 640,000. 一万=10,000, so you missed a zero there.

百万
