HELPP MEE, its driving me insane!!!

My computer is being pathetic, here it goes:

I start it up, log on. OMG Blank screen.
When I've logged on nothing works.. It only works in safe mode.
My dad told me to start it up in safe mode and restore the system. Done It. and it didn't work..
Anyone got any better ideas?

BTW The only thing that does work is my StopZilla but it stops responding half way through log in and task manager works fine.

There might be a problem with your video drivers. Try logging onto Safe Mode and then do a uninstall of your video drivers. Depending on what video card you have, it should say "nVidia Drivers", "ATI Install Manager or Intel GMA under Add/Remove Programs. Uninstall that and try rebooting normally. If it works well, reinstall your video drivers with the recent ones from the video card manufacturer's website.

If it really is a blank screen, like, completely, totally blank, then it might be a graphics driver problem.

There's one thing that confuses me a little, though. You say that you get a "blank" screen, but you do get to the log in stage, and applications do attempt to load (namely StopZilla), and you can access the task manager? So would I be correct to assume that the blank screen is just the post-login screen without your proper desktop with all your icons, taskbar, etc, but you can hit CTRL-ALT-DEL (or CTRL-SHIFT-ESC) to bring up the Task Manager?

If that's the case, then it may be that a program is hanging on startup. In safe mode, you should be able to go to the Run prompt (Start -> Run), and type "msconfig" (without the quotes of course) and hit Enter. Under the "Startup" tab, hit the "Disable All" button. Now hit "OK" and attempt to reboot your computer normally.

If that, or reinstalling the graphics drivers doesn't solve the issue, there are a few other ideas I've got, too.
