I'm really curious to know why you threw that 7-pin.

I'll look at the records later.

I feel your pain, whitepearl.

If you can let me know which hand you are referring to, I'd appreciate it. Every losing hand is looking the same to me right about now...

You'd be too with a -56.

Like 3 hands had passed where I was waitinig for my hand value to increase and someone else won, so I just decided to grab the thunder however weak it was.

Aw well, for a moment I thoguht I could make a comeback there.

I feel your pain, whitepearl. Last session I received the short end of the stick. So far pb seems to have the best record in the sessions. Yay for him.

East 3 Round 0.

Took a look at it. I would keep that 7-pin and threw the 2-sou instead. Defend for your life, that's the thing I'll do.

And concentration is important in mahjong. You need to analysis why people throw certain tiles at the middle or late stage in a game to assess the kind of hands they had.

Everyone would tend to gather central tiles (3,4,5,6,7) and throw the rest. The order of discards will help in determining the kind of hand they're making.

It's not easy and regardless, mahjong is a game of chance. So, experience comes with more practice.

And, JINNSK is just like many of the others I played with in Room 0000 for points. It's very scary if their hands always come together, just like I had for these 2 4-players games.

Oh yeah. The hand where I was: "If I riichi with this I will be furiten... well it doesn't matter! It is a 3 way wait so it will eventually come! Lalalala...."

... it doesn't always work I guess. But yeah. Throwing a dora with someone in riichi is not a good idea unless you are desperate to win... on a second look I should have gone for the closed wait for the dora.

Just watched the replay...not saying this as a slight against you but how would I have been expected to know that 7pin was risky?

That last hand JINNSK had me on my toes as well, every time he threw a terminal as if it was nothing when you had a potential all terminals hand

It was a dora. And I had discarded a 8-pin for my riichi wait, so you could have considered that *i* was in a wait for the dora. Well, in the end I wasn't, but still it was a risky tile even if it wasn't pb's winning tile.

Normally I do make those considerations but I think I made that move just out of desperation.

Prolonged losing begets more careless play. It didn't help that I wasn't in a great mood to begin with (nothing to do with my awful gameplay lol) so a lot of times I just get lazy and pray for the best.

No, South 4 round 0 of the last game. Well, you had me sweating all the time with all the risky tiles you dealt to pb, but you fared much better luck than whitepearl.

And the reason why I continued with a 7-pin solo wait instead of a 3-6-9-sou triple wait.

Because the riichied tile was 8-pin, there's a high chance it could be 5-6-pin waiting for a 4-7-pin.

Well, I guess it's just an example of live and die by the risky play...when no one is waiting on such tiles, I look like a genius...but when this doesn't work, boy does it fail big time...

Arkenryu, you just missed me losing by 900028 pts in every hand — you didn't miss much.
