So we all lost to someone who got a (&$%@(&$*(@$@&$($& nagashi mangan at the very end X_X

Not a good look dealing into dora-3 hands twice to the same person.

LOL definitely not.

I was expecting a ryuukyoku and then I see me and the other guy in Riichi with -2000...I was like WTF

I was so fixated on trying to win that I completely went blind with regards to my opponent's hand...didn't even realize it until the very end.

Well, I guess that's noe example of why playing risky when too people with possibliy big hands have riichi'ed is not a good idea. Hmm... well maybe it's just me, but if I had been in your case I would have waited a little to see if I could add a pinfu or a tanyao to that hand. Aw well. Different styles.

One of my bbest games in a while. Of special interest is the last hand of the east round, my comeback hand. Perseverance and avoiding the temptation to go open won the game.

Yeah, I usually try to win the first round no matter what so I can get a bit of momentum going.

If I don't I usually end up losing, so I'll just riichi as soon as possible

No, they don't allow it.

I won three straight, oh my goodness,

Two highlights, both from the same match:

Discarding a dora after a riichi. The opponent on your right sure wasn't paying attention.

Hmm... well I guess having the basic information in one place instead of extracting it from the generic mahjong's page helps.

It actually kinda already does exist. It's just really divided up since it seems to have been decided that beside the specific rulings, everything is to be put together. (Ex: Tiles)
Japanese specific: Yaku, Scoring

I really, really like your riichi rate.

It's almost double of mine right now.

Riichi percentage of .214 over here.

Since we're discussing stats:

The avg score of -0.31 was once much worse; I think it was -0.68 a few days ago.

After a 4 game losing streak I think I should rest for a while. Heck, leave alone not being able to win, in my last game I wasn't able to get tenpai but once during a whole hanchan, and that was in the last game when I was already in last place. And I ended up feeding another guy winning tile anyway. And I was only able to get isshanten for a third of the games. Talk about bad luck. ;_;

^^ It has a funny way of "averaging" itself out, though. You're due for a hot streak.

I think I had two separate hands during a hanchan where I had a hand with 3+ dora tiles (one a dora 3 and one a dora 3 plus 2 red dora)...couldn't win both.
