i am not a premium user. the client is free to download but i cannot have access to the game rooms. i usually view replays on the client to see where the tiles are placed.

client can be customized. also the stats i posted does not contain any dates in the top section of the picture which already tells i do not use premium.

That's what I've been doing, but that plain blue backround is kind of boring. Plus, it only fits a small part of my screen...if the download allows you to full screen play I would be so stoked.

The client is FREE. you do not need to pay. The only thing you need to pay for is using the client to access the game rooms.

Yes! I am not lying to you! I was so happy when I figured this out!! When you're in a game, there are two japanese characters in the lower right of the screen. The right button toggles the sound effects and the left one allows you to change the color and fullscreen it. Give it a try!!!

i checked my logs and my losing skid went as long as 25 games. went as low as 1435 pts and i hope my losing skid ends here.

You know what I have started doing? Before I start a game, I watch a game in the pheonix room of 7 dans. Watching high level players play gets me in the correct mindset and lets me visualize playing so I don't play bad when I start playing myself.

Whenever I find myself playing a bad game, I'll just stop, leave for awhile, and come back with a fresh mind. I figured out that if I do really badly, then I'll continue to do badly in the next few games that I play. And when I'm doing really good in my games, I'll continue to do really good in the next few games that I play. So if you're not in the right mindset (or you're tired), then it probably would be best not to play at all. (or play on a different account just for fun)

I know i'm being an ass saying this but you are naive to think these are actually high level players. In reality, they aren't. Premium players get their benefits of achieving 7 dan ranks far easier than the regular players. Their grind fest to rank up starts from there.

Of the starting hands I get, 90% is just simply garbage hands and unplayable. Most of the time, i have to rely on players to get hit by other players just for me to avoid finishing last.

Then again, there are times i made really bad decisions and ended up losing so much points on one deal. Can't be helped in these situations.

My rating is a little low due to the fact that Tenhou decided to give me 90 games of hell. My 1st place % during that hellish streak was well below 20%. Bastards!
