Though I said in the previous thread that Nishiya's works were getting better soon, this is more than what I expected and I never thought his next work would come out this soon. No, I'd have to admire the episode directors who asked that much of him more than him.

I love this episode, but I feel like I got fooled by the dramatic directing. Too strong impressions that made on us would be sort of trouble to the staff members in charge of the next episode. Can the next episode surpass them? I think it's doubtful.

Is the dramatic directing is Utsumi's taste? I'll look forward to her coming episodes. She should direct one or two more ones in Haruhi.

Those are all great scenes. I love the Kyou in the storage room scene.

Saw the new episode today and at first I was a bit confused why they would step away from the 15,498 times but then it hit me.

Spoiler for Oh You'll love this:

The Summer activities have happened 15,498 but this includes the start too, so in essence Suzumi has only reset the timeline 15,497 times, a bit clever I would say.
Now im not certain since the novel translations seem to be a bit unclear about it but I am guessing this how they will play explain it.

Have to congratulate them for putting it in it's a nice excercise in thinking it out.

i liked this ep, because i was completely fooled...
i thought last episode was a really lame filler episode and this week when the episode started i was stopping it and checking again if its the right one because i had seen this before, only when i skipped around in it a bit i noticed it is actually different...
as such, not knowing whats about to happen, i feel like everything went well so far.

I wouldn't be suprised if with all the repeating days she just ran clean out of reading material. She probably read every book in several book stores/libraries throughout the course of those 15,000+ repeats.

I just noticed that the ED is slowly changing every episode
The part where the characters show up with their respective background colours are slowly getting brighter and if you noticed when they move they are getting more blurry...intriguing

I just watched this episode again for the A.F.K version, why oh why does Kyon, not keep going and keep going after her out of the restaurant? Why does he give up so soon?

You'd think Kyon would've noticed that. Nagato's reading is about the same as the Joker's laughter: if it isn't happening, something is seriously wrong.

Or maybe he did notice it, but couldn't figure out what the "it" was. At any rate, this was a very different side of Nagato than the one we usually see... and I am not looking forward to seeing it again.

Because Haruhi had made her mind, and since she has the power to manipulate reality. By then, he has no choice but to give up, and made a poor decision of not calling out to her earlier. Therefore, when Kyon tries to make an effort to call her back, Haruhi is convinced that he won't call out to her (then the the animation goes all damatic greyscale and fuzzy/ KYON IS PARALYZED. HE IS UNABLE TO MOVE.), although she does desire it. I think.

Haruhi wants something to happen. Most likely with Kyon. I'll put this in sum java.

I just finished watching this episode and I simply *must* ask:

Is it just me? Is there some sinister reason for not mentioning that the loop is actually three weeks long and not two? The two week activity period is covered and mentioned as such in both "endless episodes", but Koizumi reveals the repeat schedule to be 21 days long (11th to 31th). Whatever could be happening during the week prior? I have noticed no readable dates to further ascertain the date the episodes start, sadly.

Also, when Kyon asked how many times they have been reset, Yuki answered that "this is the 15498th time we've had this discussion", not mentioning how many times they have been through the whole ordeal without it (which seems to be the case during first part). I wondered if anyone could confirm if that translation is correct?

Furthermore, Kyon seems to not notice that too, as he uses both figures in his calculation (it would amount to ~892 years, using 21 days loops, not counting "unnoticed" passes).
