Hm, Iron Man 2 as a 74% rating on Rotten Tomatoes as of now.

I was hoping it would be as good as the original (94%). I know I shouldn't look at the numbers too much but they do say a lot about the quality of the movie...

they're saying the movie has almost none of the good things that made the first one good, barring RDjr

Critics tend to be unreliable, at least the professional ones. But considering sequels have a history of not being as good as the first, I'm not going to discard this particular ciritic right away. There are some exceptions of course, and some of the most notable examples of these are the original Star Wars Trilogy, Back to the Future, Lethal Weapon and several more I can't remember from the top of my head. 90% of the time, though, sequels hardly compare to the original because the novelty of the first has worn off. While it might be true that Ironman 2 does not have all the things that made the first one good, I'm willing to believe it has other things that make it good, so this won't stop me from spending a good 10 quid to watch the film at the theater

There will not be a Spiderman in a Marvel Studio film. Not for as long as they haven't got the film rights back. Same with the X-men franchise.

Not to mention the main players for an Avengers movie would be Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, and Hulk. Spiderman doesn't play much of a role in it all if memory serves.

Well they're gonna need it if they're to make an avengers movie. What's the Avengers without Wolverine? T_T

You'll have to refresh my memory on this but what was Wolverine's involvement in the founding of the Avengers?

Seen it last night and I did enjoy it but not as much as the first.

In my view it was too quirky and funny.

Scarlett Johansson was hot in this film
yes?

question though, why change Rhodes' actor?
I mean, he's good but I like the previous one

anyway were there signs that there will be an Avengers movie on the Fantastic 4 movie?
I think none :/
oh and if they're making an avengers movie, its DC counterpart, Justice League, should be made as well

The original actor was too expensive. He was literally the highest paid actor in the first film; yes, even more than RDJ. You can't honestly say he was worth more than the main lead.

Marvel asked his agent for a justified paycut for the 2nd film, the agent had him removed from the deal. He was gone.

Nothing they can do about it. Marvel was right to ask for a pay cut.
