Custom DVD cover!? I was not aware of this. T_T

I got Megami 'cause it was the cheapest and I wasn't particularly interested in any of the mags the DVD came with.

Also has it been confirmed (through a reliable source) that the story is based on the 3D PV? I thought it was gonna be something different, with the schoolgirl thing and all...

Wait what? CDJapan has it at 840 tax in with Megami at 780 tax in. I swear other sites had Hobby Japan at over 1000.

I've never understood the facination around Hatsune Miku before, but because of her this freakin' cool looking series actually exists, so I'll forgive her strangely immense popularity.

It's not easy making chicks look badass but this one pulls it off pretty well I'd say. Anyone who has scars like that would be.

The one thing I'm fearing about this though is that there appears to be no male characters in sight anywhere, and I find it hard to take an action series seriously when females do all the fighting. =/

Ah well. I want to give it a chance, so bring it on.~

Haven't ya heard bout fangasm? It's the climax without fluid exchange.

What about the robot and the samurai looking cyborg? They're not in the anime right?"
Geshumaru and "Amidamaru"? Nope, no confirmation.

Here's the same PV using the actual stream on NicoNico Douga.
Enjoy: http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/1279021745

BTW... For supercell fans, "Transient Fireworks" the ED for Naruto Shippuden has been leaked a full version of the song that goes for 6 minutes long.
It's a lot better than what the TV version presented but it's not their most impressive one either.
Looking forward to the rest of the single.

At Amiami it's 600. Or was if orders are still being taken.

I actually really loved the full version. Might be my second favorite Supercell song right now.

Huh. When I checked there it was 840 as well... well whatever, I've already placed my order, and everything seems to be sold out right now anyway. XD

I know that. I just know she was derrived from a song by Supercell made with the Vocaloid Hatsune Miku.

And if it wasn't for that, BRS wouldn't even exist.

Huh no.
Perhaps the anime and all the hype wouldn't have been generated. However, Black Rock Shooter has absolutely nothing to do with Miku.
It is purely by coincidence that she has some resemblance. Aside of that, they are loosely tied just because of supercell video.

Without Miku, BRS would have still existed, albeit not as popular as we know now.

No, you're wrong.

BRS has been around before Miku, she was a character designed by digital artist 'huke'.

It was only when Vocaloid composer 'ryo' saw that Miku looks a little like BRS, that he offered huke to compose a song for his character.

BRS existed without Miku, the song was inspired by the character.

Even if Miku didn't sing the song, BRS and all other characters of the BRS series would still be released in his character design art books and stuff.

Ah well, call me uninformed then.

I guess BRS just didn't become a phemomenon before that happened then.

Not sure about that actually. The first BRS pic was posted on huke's blog and pixiv in December 2007, which is technically 4 months after Miku came out. Maybe she showed up in an artbook or something before that, I don't know.

But yeah they're technically not related. On the other hand, huke is part of Supercell (one of the dozen-ish illustrators associated with the group... XD ). So there's only so big a boundary you can put between the character and the song...

huke was popular before he teamed up with ryo? Was he making artbooks before his "breakout", we'll call it?
