Good romance manga?
Hey there. I've recently got into manga, and I enjoy it much more than anime. So, I'm looking for a manga similar to Inuyasha, but with a little more romance.
And a really good plot, as well. I'd like for there to be some action/adventure or even supernatural. I like attractive looking characters, so it has to be well drawn too. Completed series only, please. Also, feel free to suggest other series you think are well written, as long as they have some romance!

The world God only knows-it's about a hardcore date sim gamer being visited by a devil in order to capture evil spirits by making them fall in love with him.
Air Gear-although it turns mostly on the ecchi side, the romance element is strong after the third arc or so, includes quite some action as well.

Kanata Kara is a nice action/adventure manga also about a high school girl being transported to another world... it's shoujo rather than shounen, but I think still would appeal to someone who doesn't generally read shoujo... Hikawa Kyouko, the mangaka, avoids a lot the more annoying tropes to be found in shoujo manga (especially those of this type). The romance is good and the story progresses at a nice pace.

Some are finished, some are ongoing, all are really great: Suzuka, Ichigo 100%, Pastel, Kimi no Iru Machi, Umi no Misaki, Ai Yori Aoshi, Yume de Aetara, Kagetora, I''s.
Kimikiss manga is good. The anime was GREAT! Very few people disliked it. It had a well rounded story with great characters and had you itching for more at the end of each episode. Its a must for romance fans.

Seconding Maison Ikkoku, it's by the same author of Inuyasha and a classic.
Kare Kano (alias Kareshi Kanojo no Jijou/His and Her Circumstances) has interesting characters. It's lighter and more comedic in the beginning and grows heavier towards the end, and overall a compelling romance manga. Both the above manga is more drama romance than adventure-romance like Inuyasha though. For adventure shoujo, I recommend Magic Knight Rayearth and Kanata Kara. Basara is good too but it's more serious and very long. |

Hmmm... well you see Inuyasha is more of an adventure/action romance then straight romance.
So while I whole heartedly recommend Maison Ikkoku, that's more of a straight romantic comedy. Both manga and anime are good. For action adventure romance I'd recommend Full Metal Panic, I'd also suggest The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. Unfortunately I don't know much about the manga versions. Both are strongest in the light novel form, and both are good in the anime form. Ranma 1/2 is more of a slapstick martial arts comedy romance parody. But it is also by the same author as Inuyasha. The manga is pretty good. RIN-NE is Takahasi's newest work- although it's just started. Seems to be more in the action/adventure theme that Inuyasha was. It's also being simultaneously released in English as well as Japanese. You might try the Fullmetal Alchemist manga which is almost completed. Soul Eater is also a good one (as manga), but is probably only half way through (although it has a good mid series resolution).
