Need suggestions for a very action packed anime with great animation.

I agree. While I've only seen the first nine episodes of Gurren Lagann so far, I can safely say that the action-scenes are awesome, and the animation is great... except, as you mentioned, episode 4. But hey, one badly animated episode out of 27 is still pretty damn good, all in all.
