And the usual thing repeated over 9000 times: Yuki blushing, Yuki smiling, Yuki shocked (at the stab), Yuki looking like she's about to get ****ed by Kyon...

You might say that they only like it because it's Yuki-centric, and the reason it's so popular is because there are more Yuki supporters than those of Haruhi or Mikuru (seriously, Intrigues is overlooked way more than Disappearance).

For what it's worth, I think Intrigues is quite a bit better than this...

It is also where Mikuru does a Falcon... scratch that... Mikuru Punch to Kyon's face (that would be a funny part)... or it would probably be a slap...

Personally, I enjoyed Intrigues better, as it overall gives the reader a wider insight into the characters and basis of the world. Intrigues gives you massive Mikuru and Tsuruya interaction, and you really get an idea where each of them come from and a fair bit of the time traveler mythos. You also get a nice dose of (possible) Haruhi character growth at the end. Disappearance may go a bit deeper, and is the better written (plot, etc.) of the two, but it is very Yuki/Kyon-centric.

And this coming from a big fan of Yuki and of Kyon (although more Tsuruya than either).

YES!
At least someone remembers old times!
Hand drawn works rules! You really don't see that kind of effort anymore in these computer dependent days.

I don't even see Disappearance as Yuki-centric, I see it Kyon-centric. I also see the actual series about him and Haruhi rather than just Haruhi or just Kyon.

Even though I hate Mikuru, I have to agree.

That is true. However, Kyon is the protagonist of all books, not just this one. This is "Yuki's book" becasue he is on the high light. While this book tell a lot about Kyon (more then most), this is still the book that has focused more on Yuki. As bhl said, it is Kyon and Yuki-centric.

Oh, yes. This trailer got me all hyped up about Haruhi again! The "second season" had its interesting points, but the whole Endless Eight arc was a bit. . redundant. Okay, make that VERY VERY redundant.

But since my favorite light novel was the fourth, just knowing that it's being animated makes me scream like the fangirl that I used to be.
