Come on, everything has a right to his own opinion.

I haven't read Intrigues myself, since I'm holding off reading the novels until I watch the anime... Haruhi is one art form where visual impact is important...

On the other hand, as a Yuki fanboy I can imagine myself liking Disappearance more than Intrigues in the end. Plus Disappearance is a pretty darn good story in itself.

That and he has to give us more than "Epic Fail". Bo~ring...

Everyone has a right to disagree with someone's opinion, but put some effort into it, TM. Haven't you ever seen Roxanne? Maybe something along the lines of "I disapprove of your moronic opinion, but I will defend to the death your right to say it." The same point is gotten across, but it's much more enjoyable to read (and to write).

Not to suggest that your opinion is moronic, of course. I like Disappearance, and find it easily the most suitable Haruhi volume to be made into a movie, I just enjoy Intrigues more.

Damnit kenny, I clicked on that video, took one look at that guy's nose and closed it immediately.

Intrigues is that good huh? Sure do hope KyoAni animates it quick, I can't keep my hands from reaching for the novel any longer!

It's certainly intriguing, for lack of a better word. Good foreshadowing and delicious sci-fi stuff.

So as some may know, on the R2 Limited Edition DVDs, the seiju for Taniguchi travels to different places and often times has two stops in one trip. In the latest one on the last DVD, he stops by KyoAni and discovers something we may find very interesting.
What is this? It appears to be...
The storyboards for the Vanishment movie! This book is thick!

While we probably won't be able to see it in real life, I thought some clips from the DVD would be much appreciated here. This is as big as I can currently get since it's a box within a bigger scene.

Hooray for odd "camera" angles! Sam Raimi would be proud... ^_^

Animation still looks gorgeous...

Why would you want spring? Go for summer or fall so the DVD/Blueray can be released and get this sucker available to the international masses.

Well there's always the hope that some unscrupulous soul will sneak a video camera into a theater or otherwise "acquire" the movie and throw it out there for the unwashed masses...

But you're right. Late summer/early fall is probably when we'll actually get to see the movie over here.

Also, Alt!Yuki is adorable. 2nd fav character now
I like how they kept Mikuru in there but no Haruhi. Not really.
And what's with that scene with Haruhi and her ponytail...don't remember that in Disappearance

It's definitely in the book. Can't say more, as this isn't the spoiler thread.

That shot was in the tv series, you know Kyon saying "Haruhi. It looks good."

True, but not usually to the level of Haruhi S1. The directorial style is looking more and more like the first run (debate over whether the animation looks like it notwithstanding) and I take that as a good thing.
