Just wondering...

I know songs from all languages are accepted, so does that mean Korean songs are alright?

Korean songs are fine as long as they were used in the anime opening/ending. The only one I can think of is from Black Blood Brothers, I think it was...
Anyway, for those that sent the entries, if you didn't get a reply to the email let me know in this thread as I respond to every single entry that comes in, and I still get the feeling I'm missing some entries... Time to kill schadowfox again.

Aww

I am voiceless every morning and gradually recover a bit of voice by afternoon every day. Still, all my attempts have failed as my voice kind of comes and goes. Submitted anyway just for fun.

Wait, does this mean that if a person wants to sing a song that's not an anime OP/ED, automatically he/she can't join, even Japanese songs?

I use one when I record. If you're too cheap to buy one, you can make your own with a coat hanger and pantyhose.

I think you can still submit them as non competing entries though.

Songs from video games of Japanese origin (including eroge) are generally allowed, as well as insert songs. Also, I believe songs from live-action spinoffs are allowed if there's a corresponding anime that goes with it.

Anime forum = anime stuff = anime music...

Yes, songs have to be from an anime and whatnot, don't care what language but they have to be from an anime. What else did I miss...

Oh spiffy! I'm gonna change mikes for the time being, but if that doesn't work, I'll try this. Thanks.

I don't use one :P but maybe that's because I don't need one because I use a recording mic and a mixer and a mac.

You can also just turn down the input volume of the mic and when you've recorded it, you can turn up the volume of the track or even amplify the whole track (start with 5 decibel).

And I advise everyone to distance yourself from the mic a bit when you raise your voice, but not too much. If you adjust the volumes like I explained, you don't need all that much distance anyway. That always helps.

And then, if you want the entire recording levelled, you can use the compressor (Mac's GarageBand has one. I'm not sure about other programmes). I don't consider this an "effect". It just makes sure your voice is not all over the place.

I'm recovering from flu and I'm still without a working mic. What was the deadline again?

If I can scrounge up some money to buy a new headset I'll submit an entry. Haven't done one of these in a long time.
