Truly, A Gallery of Such Proportions

Hey guys

I registered this account a month ago, but inevitably gave up on the idea of contributing regularly.

More recently I made a thread on /w/ asking whether or not anyone had a bigger version of this :

No one seemed to have a copy. So after MUCH deliberation, I decided to go ahead and make one of those vectors, of course this would be the first vector I ever make.

And so, as I finished, I realized that I had no where to host, for praise/criticism, so I sat back for a minute and thought, and it finally struck me - Anime Suki.

Now, for the fun part :

And... Photoshop'd :

Basically, adding in a few SHAFTisms into the equation for final wallpaper.

As you can see, I changed it around an awful lot before the final product, don't ask why, I just did.

Anyway, guys. Observe at your own leisure. I probably won't make another vector like it again.

Funny, I had wanted to do a Shana trace for a long while, never founding a pic that would 'click' with me. I would have picked that very same one had I come across it.

Your work really shines in the final step. The color effects really add to the piece on the whole. The shaftness is fine too, it reminds me of Bakemonogatari in a way.

Awww, Nadeko is so moe!

Another fine work, btw. Much better than what my second trace looked like.

Again, thank you Daniel. ^_^

I've attempted another work :

It's Lina from Heroman. I had just watched it last night and I really enjoyed it. Although the story isn't outstanding, you can overlook it and enjoy the show for what it really is.

Sadly, this will be the last vector I do until my exams are over, so maybe I'll post some more in July.

How did you added the light effect?

Did you used filters or a combination of several effects?

Ah, well, I cheated you see.

I opened up photoshop and started messing around with different layer compositions and such.

So : I guess a combination of several effects if you will.

Just a job of trial and error I suppose.
