Why the speculation on a third season when the movie hasn't even come out yet? Since they're coming out of the same studio, and that studio tends to do projects sequentially, and not in parallel; they're not going to even consider a third season until after they have the movie done. And they're not going to do the movie until their next production is finished.

Aki Toyosaki's remark is most likely about whatever show she's going to do next. Japanese VAs are (pretty much) paid peanuts for what they do. They're interchangeable cogs in a field where your career is typically all washed-up before you hit 30. So once one show is finished, they're already moving onto the next, and auditioning for the third.

Pfft. Do a poll on "most beloved", and the results will look pretty similar.

More popular = more hated. It's as simple as that.

Its precisely because K-On is so heartwarming and idealistic that it is hated by cynical people who are so pessimistic that they cannot stomach anyone else being happy or feeling hope towards life.

I say they should all collectively jump into a volcano and rid the human gene-pool of their negativity; so idealists and people who DO care and believe can have an easier time making the world a better, nicer place.

All the hate towards K-On isn't because it's bad (usually), it's because it's so out-of-proportionally popular that it drains sales away from other animes. It's understandable that people don't approve of it, because other companies don't get as much money, and it's kind of pandering to the otaku demographic for money.

It'll probably be moved back once the OVA and the movie comes out.

Don't hold your breath.

<looks at Haruhi sub-forum's non-movement when its movie came out>

Then maybe these critics should spend a bit more to keep up with their otaku counterparts. They apparently seem to think just buying the BDs/DVDs will help keep the industry afloat, while the otaku realized long ago that the true profits lies in selling merchandise (aside the anime media itself).

You could say that these otaku are more of a fan than these critics are, even if they do choose all the 'wrong' shows.

Yeah, things have been so slow lately. Hopefully more discussions will arise by the time we have more infos about the movie, the live event, and the OVA.

This is gonna sound extreme, if not downright creepy to some:

Next Friday. I'm going to fly to Japan to visit the building on which My Wife and her Friends' school is based. Yay!!

And save up to see them in concert in February. Double Yay!!

Well if it helps I'm saving up for the movie (yes, and fly to Japan for the premiere) as well as the last volume of the LE BDs.
