Well, this show continues to be an impressive watch I must say.

Seems as though this coming week will be a big turning point as well, can't wait to see the next episode

I'm really surprised to hear they didn't use Ed's critical moment in this episode as a cliffhanger, the way it was like in the manga. Kind of a waste, but oh well.

Well, that was really good episode. I'm suprised, that Yoshinori Kameda worked on this episode, because he worked on the last one
Jun Shibata did some animation too
Also the second half of the episode was pretty intense.

Great episode - FMA:B hasn't been this intense for quite a while. The animation was great, and so was Paku Romi. Now we're slowly easing into the (very epic) final arc... I'm so excited for what's to come
Only complaint is... same as every week... the freaking music. I thought I heard a new track at the end of the episode, but it ended up being a part of the ED! Argh!

I thought I heard some new music? When Mei and them were still in the tunnel. Idk.

This episode seemed short to me for some reason, but it was very good. Animation looked nice as well.

My only complaint is that when Ed says "I can't let everyone cry over me." they didn't show the flashbacks of Riza, Al, and Winry talking about accomplishing their goal and when Winry would cry tears of joy the next time she cried.

Oh...and of course you can't forget about Donkey Kong and Lion King hahaha. I hope they have Ed call them that, it always made me laugh in the manga.

I actually had no complaints in that department this week, since, albeit it being indeed the same old music, the placement was REALLY good here and added greatly to the scenes.

And just like the music, the animation was also top notch, as was the pacing, with no cut scenes at all. So yeah, definitely a 10/10 episode and the best one in a while.

Ed vs Kimblee was short but sweet like in the manga. It's a great climax to the little "rivalry" they'd been having since the beggining of the Briggs arc, with Ed's policy not to kill being the major theme and being used really well.

As I said before, I was surprised they didn't use Ed's state after his defeat as the cliffhanger, but the way they did it worked really well too. The final scene was very good and very intense, in no small part thanks to Romi Paku's great performance, as usual.

In this case I think they did the right choice on where they ended the episode since who would really think Ed is going to die? So ending there is not really a cliffhanger.

Since when are cliffhangers only about characters dying?

The cliffhanger there would be how he was going to get out of a desperate situation like that.

Damn that was way too close for Ed this time. He didn't expect that second philosopher's stone and paid a heavy price for it. Nearly died this time and had to try something insane to save himself. I suppose not having Winry cry over something like that is a good reason to stay live.

Still was shocked when seeing Ed's state in the aftermath of that explosion.

That. Was. Amazing.

I've been following the series from the very beginning, and I have to admit that some parts might have felt rushed to cut to the new bits covered in the manga, but this episode was just pure win. The manga conveyed how intense the battle was, but this is just...

I'm speechless, I loved every moment of it.

But it's pretty obvious he would get out of it. When I read the manga I was way more concerned about Al than what was happening to Ed and I remember that was the general response from the fandom too at the time.

With how they ended the episode you end on an emotional note not a cliffhanger and I think that's much more powerful. And also an episode every week affects things differently than waiting a month for a resolution.

Well then the community you discussed FMA with must've been very different from mine.

Trust me if they had ended the way you were saying some people might try to figure out how he got out of it but it would be drowned by people saying of course he isn't going to die, he's the main character.

The same thing happened with Maria Ross (again only having to wait a week for something has less of an effect than waiting a month). The cliffhangers in the anime just don't have the same impact that they have in the manga and this isn't even one of the bigger cliffhangers of the series.

Whoa, that scene where Ed is sealing off his bleeding actually didn't come off as narm and worked out very well.
