I rarely use japanese in my speech though..just because I know I'll sound stupid and also because I dont really know anyone around where I live who watches anime... so it would not only be horribly out of context but I would just confuse them. Ill be a geek at the japanese resturaunt and order Hamachi instead of Yellow tail..but thats the extent of my abilities

As for other people using it, it doesnt really annoy me..or more accurately, I havent really met anyone who uses it annoyingly.
I don't see anything wrong with yaoi. My best friend is a huge yaoi fan girl, but she isn't at all like those annoying girls that nak was describing.. ^^;; But if you've met fangirls like that, you probably know what we meant. You really don't strike me as a person like that, honestly..

I'm not really trying to excuse myself for what I said because then I'd be a hypocrit. I guess it becomes annoying because like I said, it became a stereotype for anime fangirls. I'm not saying that anyone who likes anime and yaoi is like that, etiher. I really don't know how to explain, and I'm sure you know what I mean. I wouldn't use the word "obsessed".. Because that would be just stupid. I'm mainly talking about the girls who constantly talk about what anime guys they like and talk about yaoi couples all the time. .. I'm not saying it's bad to be like that, either.

Like I said, the reason why I've been annoyed with people like that is a very selfish reason.. And I appologize for it. ^^;; I don't want anyone to feel offended for what I said either.

By the way, while I'm busy being pedantic, a "yaoi fan girl" would be a fan of hardcore gay sex, since that's what "yaoi" means.

Sorry, I don't know proper the word for homosexual couples-- I do know that "shounen ai" means "boy love", and if you have an overly detailed knowledge of paraphilias you'll know that's just a euphemism for pedophilia, so that's not quite it.

the problem for me is not finding these fanboys and gurls (they started a wierd anime club at our school that runs on a funky 'feudalism' system at our school...which btw is demeaning since i actually went x_x), but finding the ones you actually would have a fond convo with. And btw..they all sporadically leaped into japanese and started squeeking their voices in the midst of our talks. Ugh...why is it against the rules to hit someone at school ;_;

So, shounen generally means young boy. (There's no 'boy' in that word, but never mind that...)

its time for you to stop that thing from existing in this world........

*shotguns raikage*

errr....why this conversation is about yaoi

anyways, I can tolerate some use of Japanese but yet some people, note: some people shouldn't use them.....especially their accents fits badly.....eg: Naruto some people will say Nayruto (couldn't think any other word for now)
