Oh, if Obsidian's doing it then it'll be a proper successor then. Got a few months of interviews to catch up on and a game to preorder! ... and glad to see they're getting to recycle some Van Buren material into the game.

System specs revealed :

Quote:
The game is enhanced for quad-core processors, but needs a minimum of a dual core 2.0 GHz. Players will need 2 GB of RAM and 10 GB of hard drive space, along with a NVIDIA GeForce 6 series or ATI 1300 XT series at minimum. And of course, these are PC specs, so users will need Windows (7, Vista, or XP).
Well , my PC will still be ok to play it . But still , i need to change my 9500 GT ...

First review out at attackofthefanboy.com

Sounds like a more-of-the-same-sequel. It isn't bad but it's nothing special either it seems.

don't listen to that lame ass review, all he seems to be complaining about is how its so much like fallout 3. Well Idiot, it is.

Ive seen better reviews by children and people who havent even played it yet.

I'm extreeemely skeptical about that review. It could have easily be written without having touched New Vegas. In fact, it doesn't really say anything at all about the actual game.

Well beyond that the story, dialogue, characters, roleplaying features, combat changes, new armor/weapons, length, etc... none of it was mentioned. I think it's a bogus review, period.

Sounds like lots of fun .

(Honestly, I don't care if F:NV is like F:III or not. I loved F:III for differerent reasons than why I loved F:I & F:II, so if it is like any of them, or an amagalmation, then I will have a good time.)

Alright, so some people got riled up by earlier review I posted. Here's a more favourable reviewer who didn't mind the similiarities to FO3. http://www.justpushstart.com/2010/10...-vegas-review/

I reckon the big sites like gamespot, gametrailers and ign might give it anything between 8 and 9.5.

On another note, http://www.gametrailers.com/video/th...out-new/706301
I never realised Ron Perlman of Hellboy fame voiced the narrator since Fallout 1.

Same here, got 3 1/2 hours in before I had to start getting ready for work. I know I won't be getting much sleep the rest of the week, though.

Personally, I love it. I loved FO3 even in its vanilla form, so the whole "more of the same" makes this game awesome so far. Lots of similar things, but lots of little changes and such that make you sure this ain't the D.C. wasteland (besides the music choices, lol). Lots of locations to check out right around Goodsprings, some of which don't play a role now but definitely will as the story progresses. Already I'm having to make choices in my allegiances. Still haven't modded any weapons or cooked any stat items. The hardest part so far is trying to find enemies so I can level up. Radscorpions kick my ass but everything else thus far has been pretty easy pickins.

edit: It's also nice to see NPCs with more than 6 faces and 5 voices, lol.

A bit of warning for anyone playing on PC and finding your quicksaves and autosaves are not showing the most recent saves.

I hope the modders will jump on this one. F3 vanilla was better then i had hoped for, and the mods made it awesome³ especially the body replacers (bethesda can't design humans to safe their lifes) and weapon packs. So im gonna wait a while and see where this is going, then i might cave and buy it. I love these modable open world games way too much...

Body replacers! HA! I loved that one. I also used "Slaves stick around" mod.
