Wednesdays huh? Hm.
And 1:50 in the morning in Japan?! That doesn't sound like a favorable time slot at all.

Thanks guys!

Well, it's not exactly a prime time kid's show or anything. I think it's assumed that people who care can record it so it doesn't matter what time it is.

Maybe I'm just paranoid, but why does it seem like that Chinese site linked in the youtube vid used the prototype lyrics I posted a few pages back as the base? It's got the same punctuations and all lol. =x Anyways good job on them fixing the parts I struggled with.

Good god! I didn't know the OP was "The Dream Traveler of the Integrated Circuit" from the manga! I always wonder how the song would sound like in the anime but now i know how epic it is!

Thanks for the vid KROMEangel!

Lyrically it hardly seems like Keima's version though. Maybe the full version will have the lyrics from the manga... or maybe they've been there the whole time but we just couldn't figure it out XD. Would be awesome if they got Hiro to sing it as Keima's character song or something.

Yeah in term of English, it's probably the best Japanese song i heard

At least it has some meanings, way better than lots of American top-chart pop >.>

True, but it's apparent that they both are crap: t-w-g-o-k.wikia is just copypasta of TWGOK article from Wikipedia and kaminomi.wikia is unbearable with its broken English. There's also twgok.wikia, which is also crap.

That's because the OP isn't "The Dream Traveler of the Integrated Circuit [集積回路の夢旅人]". The actual song is included in the first CD due on November 3. If the Engrish can be improved by the time of the release, it would certainly be nice. Aww, an oratorio was the perfect choice for the OP.

"Somehow unexpected happening scenery"..........

Did they just skim through an english dictionary and picked words that sounded cool?

But it IS catchy.

Remember, the lyrics are not official and is currently the result of different people pooling together what they can hear and trying to make sense of it.

Well, I'll take those lyrics with a grain of salt, but by the sound, it gets close. It's definitely spoken in English, that's for sure.

Spoiler for derp:

that leaves 8 episodes for 2 girls and you know who, personally I don't see it.. and flag 17 unless padded out isn't long enough for an episode... the next girls first chapter would be a perfect way to end ep 4 imo...
If they only use material up to chapter 17, since after that is the 5th girl's arc, it would give them 5 Keima + Elsee chapters to use for episodes and 12 (Counting Ayumi) chapters of girl capture arcs, first 4 girls. I think with decent filler that is a decent amount for a first season.

Edit: Actually I'm kind of happy that it's for sure they are animating chapter 17 since I really liked that one.

Well since people seem to need some kind of climax at the end of the series they probably going to push hakua arc up so it will after the 4th girl or make original ending.

The opening has the most English words pronounced from all the other openings I watched

You know, her pronunciation is actually pretty good. I always wonder whether the singers ever think, "You know, I've studied a fair amount of English, and I'm fairly sure these lyrics make no sense."

Although as far as I'm concerned, no Engrish anime song will ever top Ana, that Clannad insert song where the singer has absolutely no accent, but the lyrics... Oh, those lyrics.

Forget that. What about the show your avatar is from, where they have intelligent devices that speak English and are voiced by English-speaking actors specifically hired due to the fact that they naturally speak English? Some of their lines, especially in the later series, are fairly cringe-worthy.

Haha, good point. I didn't mean to say I dislike Engrish dialogue or songs with Engrish. I don't really mind it much at all. (It can be endearing in a strange way.) I just think it's really funny when I can't figure out what it means and it's obviously the writer's fault as opposed to the singer/VA.

For Engrish dialogue:

*Battle starts, Nanoha doesn't know how to use RH's new feature*
RH:"Master! Please, call me cartridge load!"
Nanoha: "Raijing Haato! Caatridge Loado!"
*RH loads a cartridge*

You can pretty easily figure out what they're trying to say and why since there's context.

Songs (like the opening in question) on the other hand:

Love is such a sweet illusion.
(Let's come together.)
Can't seem to stop my imagination.
(Goes on forever.)
What I need to cure my situation?
(Another matter.)
But I can't deny on firstly the dream keep temptation.

are harder to figure out, since things tend to be more abstract, and writers try to be more poetic. Like I had to see the above lyrics written down before I figured out what they were talking about.

And then there are some lyrics out there that are just total mysteries:

Spoiler for Ana from Clannad:

Watched the first ep. now and found it very enjoyable
Didn't read the manga, so I can't make any comparisons.

Oh lord, please don't bring up Ana here. That song is simply beyond the English language and on a whole other level of Engrish. Nevermind words, the punctuation is completely whacked lol.
