Why is there a "problem" in the first place? This went from zero to two full volumes in less than a month. I'd say we have zero reason to complain.

Yeah this is one of 2 series I hoped would be picked up since I discovered BT the other is Goshuushou Sama Ninomiya Kun.

I only read up to vol 3 and I find Keena to be a hidden strategist/tactician, she single handedly mastermind every event that happened to Akuto ever since he arrived to the Academy.

By far my fav girl in the Ichiban Ushiro no Daimaou.

Oh how i wish they had the full ending to Ninomiya kun

I love reading the 2 volumes of the novel. It shows the backstory that the anime glosses over such as how the G.O.D. System works.

And how it makes Keena into some secret god like being and how Peterhausen is the Black Magician god, none of which is explained in the anime.

I wonder what happened to the original Keena if this Keena isnt her

You know i just realized , if peterhausen is a god, doesnt that make akuto a High Priest? Haha

And there in lies the irony- he's both the Demon King and the High Priest at the same time

Well, at least he sorta technically made his goal, I guess...

The bigger irony is the demon king is being portrayed as being more moral then most of the existing system.

That's because it's being run by Suhara which is a machine after all. It has no morality.

Actually no. Akuto is portrayed as absolutely loyal to his own set of morals, and has zero tolerance to those who violate them. So he can justify (to himself if not the world) any actions he must take to uphold those morals. Even he acknowledges that he is twisted from the laymens view.

The other characters have their own set of morals, but can compromise on them sometimes to achieve greater peace or or happiness. This "weakness" in their own moral system combined with Akuto's absolute faithfulness to his own is the reason they waver when he confronts them. It isn't that he's right and they're wrong, or vice versa. It's who is stronger in their beliefs.

I actually really like this view of morality, since it eschews both the normal "I'll do what is right" stuff most MC's spout, where authors are wary of letting their characters make a false choice, or the common alternative of having a MC with zero morals at all. Akuto is fully aware that many see him as "evil" but continues forward while trying to convince others of his reasons. And when that fails he isn't afraid to force his way, either.

Probably 5, based on the illustrations, they squeezed the last half of V4 and V5 in the last episode.

Yeah, read back the earlier post and it did indeed cover the 1st 5 vols.

I don't remember from the anime but did Akuto found out who the Hero is?

No. There was a rumor that 12 was going to be the last one. I think the author's really sick since his pacing has been pretty slow. Not to mention the way the novel cover is. Its still ongoing but at a really slow pace.

more like the last 3 eps were volume 5 with a few things shifted around going by the Illustrations.

@mike211
