True.

Unlike the Taurus' page, Mahq.net's pages on the Virgos don't mention an optional AI system meaning a cockpit might have not have built at all.

To your initial point though, even if Mobile Dolls appear in the novel, it would be weird if there were no normal suits to combat them.

I've been thinking if Relena was reborn as Lacus, and Sayla was reborn as Cagalli, who also has some of Relena's traits as well.

Marina Ismail? Though she would have to be their ancestor.

Here's Sayla Mass's "family" (expy) tree, which can also be seen at the Gundam Wing thread:

So why do people fight, anyway?
Perhaps the meaning of existence lies within their will to fight.
People feel a sense of accomplishment through battle.
And itís also a fact that the ones actually fighting are never perceived as being tainted.

LMAO Yeah uh, wishful thinking and all but I don't think anyone in the Gundam universe is an "incarnation" of another.

Expy? Sure, Sunrise LOVES those. But not reincarnation, and definitely not connected by any kind of blood (between universes, anyway).

Hence why I put the phrase "family tree" in quotes. Or maybe I should have put the word "family" in quotes.

Of course this doesn't mean that they're related by blood, but are expies.

I originally created the "family" tree based on the similarities between the Sayla Mass expies, and how I was inspired by the countless Char expies there are throughout the series. Finally, I've also heard that "Turn A"'s timeline was said to be the sum of all the major Gundam works, prior to (and later, including) SEED.

As for the comments about the family tree, can you please direct them to this page? I don't want to derail this thread even further.

More Frozen Teardrop art on Pixiv. At least this is more age accurate...

A middle-aged Wufei would look like Long Feng from Avatar in my opinion.

1. There is no official art from FT yet, 2. It's from pixiv, hence fanart.

God forbid anyone in anime be older than 30-something /eyeroll

I like it. Wufei sure does look like a Roshi there, haha. Duo is reminding me a little of Koumyou Sanzo from Saiyuki. Crouching Moron Hidden Badass

Bumping the discussion up. I think this would be fairly accurate of how Duo would be depicted as Father Maxwell. Old-ish bishie sort of thing. From Pixiv:

HAHA, I just saw that tonight when I checked pixiv. Am I the only one who thinks he's looking a little Tales in that pic? (like I said, '40 year old bishies', Tales is always good at that...)

Long before news of FT came out a friend and I used to joke about how Duo would go nuts if he started losing his hair XD; I wonder if they'll ever, in the novel, go into a description of the characters as they appear now... and what surprises we'll get. Better yet, I'm crossing my fingers for some official illustrations in future chapters.

From Kouryakukan (linked to me originally by wingzerosnuggles):

●新機動戦記ガンダムW
「新機動戦記ガンダムW エンドレスワルツ敗者たちの栄光」が
小笠原智史さんによりコミカライズ決定。
2010年10月号に速報掲載。

A friend of mine translated it for me:

"Endless Waltz: The Loser's Glory's comic adaption by author Kogasa Chishi
(?? she's not sure on the name) and will be announced in the October issue."

New Gundam W comic, too... shiny :O I wonder if it'll be main cast-centric or
something like Last Outpost that's concurrent with EW's happenings....

They're really going all out on this Wing revival thing.

Highly doubt anything gets animated but it's always a good thing when the AC universe gets expanded.
