Very good episode, it seems like they are finally starting to pick up the pace. I liked how indignant Iva got when Kuma attacked her/him. Moria seemed really weak/stupid this episode. It seems like his only strategy is too put Luffy's shadow into a giant, you would think he learned his lesson on Thriller Bark. Plus Jimbei knowing his zombies's weakness and announcing it on the battlefield just made all of his zombies useless. Oh well, at least Moria still has a cool laugh.

Well to be fair, his zombie Oars on thriller bark was pretty successful...
I think the biggest factor in his defeat was nightmare Luffy, and who knows what level of power Luffy was channeling at that point... at the very least having a zombie oars is not exactly a downside

Well not really... i mean there's not exactly that many characters who are capable of throwing sea water like Jimbei can... and the pirates would need to run back to their ships to get salt

It seems to me that a zombie oars with only one leg wouldn't be as usefull as the other Oars was. The Schichibukai didn't seem to have much trouble with Oars so I can't imagine the Whitebeard pirates struggling too hard against a crippled Oars who would probably not listen to Moria for quite some time. (It took a long time for Moria to assert control over Luffy's shadow on TB)

Everyone is fighting on a bunch of frozen sea water right now, the zombies could get taken out by a snowball if anyone thought of it. And since the zombies were frozen in sea water, shouldn't their shadows should have already been released?

Moria is not necessarily talking about using Oars RIGHT NOW...
The fact that he spent like 10 years building up a zombie army is because he's a long term planner. He's not thinking about what he's gonna do here, but what he's gonna do tomorrow... and tomorrow, Hogback can fix that leg right up... also install a cockpit if Moria's still thinking about doing it that way again

Ya i think that was an error on the anime's part... in the manga i think they only popped out of the ground, not out of the ice

There weren't any dead Marines in the water before it froze. They can't be affected by the salt as long as it's trapped in the ice.

The previous episode review was painfully long though, combined with the OP it ran for almost 7 minutes. T
Thats precisely though what prevents One piece from going to year long filler arcs that Bleach and Naruto suffer from. The pacing is slower because they do things to stretch it out.

Due to his lethargic personality, Moria really limits his potential as a fighter. It's kind of sad that the guy never gets a break, but his foolishness is attributed to that.

Here is the preview for the next episode: http://www.fujitv.co.jp/GPplayer/e/G...piece&type=flv

Didn't we forget something? Luffy didn't shrink after Gear Third attack

and why the marines didnt bring the KumaRobots army to there as there was on Saboy arc , with them its ultimate defense!

Well the episode ended right after Luffy's attack. He'll probably shrink at the start of the next episode and get some coverage until he returns to normal.

Maybe they are getting those ready to unleash upon the battlefield. Hard to say what Sengoku is planning to do in this situation.

Have to give the marines some credit in slowing Luffy down. Gather the very best and you get a group that can actually do more than just getting obliterated. There are a ton of interferences between Luffy and Ace right now. It's going to be tough to make it all the way.

And yeah they really stretched the recap out this time.

Today's lesson is: Do not threaten anyone Hancock cares about. You probably won't live long enough to regret the act.

Smokey's lucky she didn't use her Devil Fruit in tandem with that kick. He'd have been dead before he hit the ground.

It was a surprise kick, so there's no surprise he was hit back so far.

There's no denying that Buggy is the Mr. Satan of One Piece after his scene in this weeks episode.

& Luffy vs Smoker had to be the best scene in the episode, some seriously nice animation. Though Kishkishkishkish was glorious as well, even though he didn't stand a chance against Jinbei.

I always wondered why Luffy never catapulted himself towards Ace I mean sure Garp and Sengoku are there but thats not going to change even if he charges from the ground.

Yeah it's just too risky to go flying in. Too many guys that can hit him out of the sky. Plus he's a more obvious target. Think even Luffy realizes he has to push through guys so they can't just stand back and hit him. Most guys aren't going to just fire huge things into the middle of the battlefield since hitting allies might bother some of them .

Anyways wow Hancock was pissed . I was wondering how she'd react to Luffy getting knocked around and if she could hold back from openly assisting him. Apparently Smoker pushed her too far. Since Luffy doesn't get haiki yet it requires someone like her who can hit Logia users to handle Smoker.
