I've no idea how Scar vs Wrath will go down, nor how I want it to go down. Wrath is too awesome a character to die in a fairly meaningless battle against an opponent he's never even interacted before with.

I'm begginig to think that what Kimbley said might come true:

(correct me if I mix up something n.nU)

A) Save their bodies but lose to father
B) Save Amestris but lose their bodies
C) Neither
D) Both

I still have hope that it'll be D but after this chapter I think it'll be B (or was it A in the translation???) anyway you get what I mean :/

ah, got it.

Here's an interesting theory: Ed obviously is due for a major moment (probably THE major moment, since, you know, it's called Full Metal Alchemist).

What if Ed became the true full metal alchemist? Say he had Al and Mustang sacrifice his other arm and leg in exchange for Al retrieving his body and mustang receiving his sight.

Eh, Al would never consent to that, he's been pretty adamant about him and Ed both getting their bodies back.

I wonder how they are going to defeat Father. Surely they might need Hohenheim. Poor Mustang(I haven't yet got to the idea of him being blind.) is pretty useless. He might come in little help he doesn't make full use of his other senses. How could they defeat a philosopher's stone?
Ed can't lose his other limbs. Roy and Al will never accept this kind of sacrifice(and I can't imagine such cruelty towards Ed in the manga).

Heart wrenching stuff in the latest chapter with Roy losing his eyesight and Al leaving his body behind, He probably wont be able to get a chance again as foreshadowed.

The quality of the art was mostly terrific but kinda fell apart near the end.

Arakawa really did end up doing something along the same lines as the anime, except this time he loses both his eyes rather than just one. I really do feel sorry for him now, and things aren't looking so good overall either. Now that Alphonse is back, all hell will break lose. Btw, Homunculus's expression when Al first came into the lair was PRICELESS!!!

Yoko: IMore that the anime did stuff along the lines of the manga. She apparently revealed quite a bit of what she had planned for the characters.

And he didn't lose his eyes. He lost his vision

Do you think he lost actual optical nerves? Other characters all lost organs or body parts of some sort, so I'm kinda wondering about that.

I don't know, there's plenty of things to take away to render someone completely blind :P

Actually, now that I reread the chapter....

Mustang doesn't have any pupils. Thus, no light can enter his retina.

Well, I think that's the art style. Or it could be that his eyes are clouded over or something, like, well, blind people.

It's really hard to tell with Arakawa's relatively simplistic art style.

I'm just trying to figure out what Father really wants. Its obvious he want to open the gate and meet with the Truth. The Homunculus has been a physical representation of sin (namely since the original came from the blood of Hohenheim.) Could this be an allegory to sin and evil trying to become "God", or in the case of FMA, the new "Truth"?

Even after that shop, Ed's reaction still makes sense. xD
