Oh well I have been looking through nailguns for the past few days, and it seems that if we want a portable one we have to get a combustion or electric nailgun.
The proble with these two are : 1. A combustion nailgun uses fuels like butane or propane to fire nails. And it overheats easily due to the internal combustion. 2. Electric nailguns are not waterproof...but they launch nails like a miniature railgun (along with the power, so tweak the insides and you can stick Mikoto Misaka stickers on it). Then I came across this. It is a portable compressed CO2 regulator that works like a scaled-up version of paintball gun gas cans. They are adaptable to fit into the air intake systems of convetional pneumatic nailguns, but I don't know how long they can last.

If Zombie Apocalypse takes place in Singapore, all of us men will probably return to camp and draw arms. We'll just be using our standard rifles and equipment.
This means I'll be shooting zombies while riding on my scout bike.

What about power wire? The high voltage will have them stuck like glue while frying their brains, with bonus conductivity thanks to the excess fluids of their bodies! The only problem would be defending the generator, but I bet you can do that much...

I think 'Shaun of the Dead' sums up what would happen to me in the UK when a Zombie Apocalypse occurs.
First I'd start by throwing old vinyl records at them, and then move onto a cricket bat. The pub is definitely where I'd end up.

I am not sure if they have a semi-auto function, but with that, it would be a good gun to use. The .45 ACP has more stopping power than the 9mm, and if it impacts the skull, the brain would certainly be shocked into submission even if it half-penetrates.
People tend to like to fire at full-auto because it feels cool, but running out of ammuntion is another thing. Of course, the M1911 would be a better carry. There is a forum member who owns one.

And I would be one of the forum members who carry a 1911. Mine is a Kimber Custom TLE II 1911. It may be an old design and not have the capacity of more modern polymer pistols, but I grew up with 1911's and I shoot them the best. Definitely is my go to side-arm from my arsenal given a zombie apocalypse. And once I start making some real cash I'm gonna get an Ed Brown or a Wilson Combat 1911 custom made

I too am one of the forum members that also own, shoot, and carry an M1911-A1! Mine is the handgun my Daddy carried in the Korean War, he brought it home and presented it to me when I was going to college. Mine is an original Colt and it already retook it's position from the aforementioned Ruger 9mm! There is just something about throwin a slug that's almost a half inch in diameter at a reactive target and watchin it swing wildley!
plus the old gun has never failed me!

Well the modern Zombie now comes in two distinct flavors:
"The Undead Type" Undead Types are you typical classic Romero Zombies. They're basically walking decaying corpses that need the urge to feed on human flesh. Because of their decaying bodies, non of their internal body organs work aside from their brain. Which is why they're often very slow and sluggish. However, they feel no pain and the only real way the kill them is to shoot them in the head. The cause of their reanimation is usually by some kind of virus. Examples: * Night of the Dead Series * Resident Evil (not counting 4 and 5) * Shaun of the Dead "The Rabid Infected Type" Rabid Infected zombies unlike their undead cousins are NOT the walking dead. They're case is more or less a SUPER version of Rabies or Mad Cow Disease for Humans. When they get infected, they lose their mind and get really pissed off and pretty much attacks and kills almost anything that's them on sight (They may or may not be Cannibalistic). Also unlike the walking dead, they can run usually very fast just like an extremely pissed off Rabid animal and even climbing across obstacles since all of their internal body organs functions properly. However, since they are not the undead, they can be killed by conventional means so you don't have to shoot them in head to kill them. Like the Undead Zombies, it is spread like a viral disease. Examples * 28 Days/Weeks Later * Left 4 Dead 1 & 2 Out curiosity, which type do you think is more dangerous? |

Maybe I'm lucky -- I am a forum member that owns two M1911A1 pistols: a Springfield Mil-Spec and a Springfield Professional. The Mil-Spec is a great shooter, but the Professional is... well, a dream.
