Ok so the first time Soi Fon needed to strap herself with the wool steel to the building to avoid getting sent flying by the recoil. But did I seriously miss something here, cause the second time she just pokes her bankai in the hole () and that's that. Where is the recoil!?

BTW Hacchi you're a beast!

IIRC, it wasn't the recoil as much as it was the exsplosion.

Then what was the whole emphasis on her using the steel wool the first time she used her bankai? I thought it was because her bankai has so much kickback (recoil) once she shoots it, the wool would secure her in place. Thus not sending her flying thru buildings and right into the ground.

A weapon like that, firing such a high explosive blast, one can only expect her to experience some type of kickback. But I'm probably thinking too rationally about this, heck this is fiction.

But like you said it could very well be the blast of the explosion. And because it is contained in Hacchi's barrier, there's no need for it.

Fiction indeed. After all, killing "aging" with missiles is like dividing by zero which is something that only Kubo can pull off with his irrational yet amusing noodle

Spoiler for Killing Death?:

She needed to wrap herself because of the blast, it is the blast power that sent her off flying, not the shooting process.

Here the whole blast will be sealed in the kido box and doesn't effect her in any way.

Had to look it up, but TVtropes covered it nicely I think

On the flip side, real shoulder fired rocket launchers have very little to no recoil: They are open at the back; booster charge gases just press against the atmosphere rather than the (absent) breech, imparting no momentum ("Recoil") on the shooter (sometimes it is augmented with counterbalancing weighted object expelled backwards. There is some recoil, originating from either friction between projectile and tube, compressed-air expulsion system or anything else needed to throw several pounds several feet forward. Yet, when used by a fictitious character, they somehow pack enough force to violently push back the wielder. Presumably, this is due to the erroneous belief that anything that dangerous has to have a powerful kick. See Missing Backblast and Blown Across The Room for related misconceptions.

Thanks to the manga's pacing, the anime is actually more fun to watch right now. Once again we get an episode that covers a surprising amount of content. Can't wait till next weeks episode. I've been waiting to see Barry's flashback animated for awhile now.

The illustration was hilarious IMO.
And Lisa's comment on Toushirou's and Hiyori's argument was priceless. Made me smile.
Always been a closetfan for Lisa.

A bit like last week, kinda disappointing episode...
I guess i'm just waiting for Aizen to say something...He's been smiling silently since the Vizards appeared

I hope we won't be getting long stares in the upcoming fights and please Kubo, i know that is a lot to ask from you but please...No straight A to B fights, at least throw in some creativity.

I really liked Hachi's quote. Why is it taking so long to defeat Halibel?? There were more than enough helpers for her to be dead already. Also, Shinji needs to get serious, and Tosen is schooling Hisagi right now. I hope Hisagi (with Kommamura's help of course) shows Tosen the true meaning of fear.
