Finally watch ep 4.

I kinda disappointed that despite watching the uncensored version, they still censored the gory parts.

It's not the gory parts I'm disappointed about.

Perhaps it's intended to be Genessa.

The scanlators use Genessa, although their accuracy is not guaranteed. I prefer Genessa, as it sounds more like a name in its own right.

No, I don't really care. It's an amusing name.

I'm wondering how many more characters there will be to introduce and a few that have been introduced that haven't fought yet (Chiffon, for example).

Also, I've been a little disappointed that some of the gore has been censored (including the OP!! I've never see that before). I'm glad the ecchi has been left uncensored but I'd like to see some more of the bloodshed that got me hooked into the series at the beginning.

Ganessa ? Maybe that is Vanessa.

Probably going to be others.
in the Manga its Bridgette L. Satellizer, its been changed in the anime due to the way the family name is given first before the first name like it is in Japan

Not sure what you're saying here. Satellizer IS her given name, and L. Bridgette (El Bridget in some places) is her family name.

[QUOTE=Bikerider;3469368]Chiffon is just one name that seems "off" to English readers.

"Chiffon" is probably derived from "Chiffon cake":

I'd say it looks like someone (not knowing western names) confused first and last name. "Bridgette" would be a somewhat common first name.

Most likely it should have been Vanessa. If you look on the keyboard, the "G" is right on top of the "V", so it was probably accidentally mistyped.
With the guys who checked it having no clue about western names, no one found the error until it was too late

How so? "Genessa" doesn't make any sense, and it just sounds really strange

So does Satellizer, but that's still her name. Genessa is a fantasy name: the sort of name I'd expect a princess in some western fantasy setting to have. I've actually seen it used before, although I can't remember where off the top of my head, and certainly there have been plenty of fictional names similar to that. It's not very Japanese (or for that matter, Korean) but it's a perfectly functional fictional name. Especially given that she comes from some sort of noble family.

Genessa is a real, albeit uncommon, name. It is english from Genesis (Hebrew), and means “origin, birth”. I think it sounds lovely.

As akei pointed out for me, it makes sense in that it's a legitimate name used in Western society. Of course, what I can't tell from looking at a scanlation or fansub is whether it is done phonetically and specifies a hard or soft 'G'. This might affect how likely it is that the name is intended to be Genessa.
