Maybe it's a piece about what happens to dreadful mangaka who write manga which lose their sense of direction - they go to hell, where they are visited and taunted by the characters they created, who at some point have a change of heart and break them out, making it a true rescue arc, fighting through the various enemies in hell

Truth be told .. we're not gonna see anything new for this Movie til the official trailer is released I suppose. So aren't we just running in circles here?

Well my point was really that Hell is a figurative place (for most people). Kubo could have used his imagination and made it look like ANYTHING. Instead he chose the path of portraying it via the route of Dante's Inferno and every other depiction of it that has come since.

It would have been interesting, for me at least, to have Kubo create a "Hell" that was a completely different world in look and style from what we've seen/read before. That's all.

However Hell ends up looking, the movie will be fantastic, that's certain..
But I have to agree they could've made it a bit better, anyway who knows what awaits us? I hope many surprises.

Well I suppose he had to go with something believable so the majority of people around the world would be like OMG HELL FIRE FLAMES DEMONS... that is how most people picture it ... and Dante's Inferno is really complex ... like the seventh layer .. the worst level is made of ice. But I'm talking about the poem, not the video game 'cause I'm old fashioned like that

I know the poem. I don't play video games. If he actually included all the levels THAT would be interesting. I would have preferred an icy cold depiction of hell to the boring old flames.

Well now if that were the case couldn't Hitsugaya just waltz into Hell and pretty much kick everyone's ass with his powers?

Don't give Kubo any ideas about pandering to Shiro's plentiful fans by making him powerful

That would be funny because then what is the point of Yamamoto going to Hell.

I hope they're not actual hollows. That would be boring. Though that flaming strike looks promising.
