If I had to sum up this episode in one sentence it's this:

With the last 5 minutes of the episode alone, it rectifies everything that KyotoAni ever did wrong in every shape and form in the first season, bar none.

Goddammit KyotoAni I forgive you! Best episode of the entire series so far.

^ The BIG difference between Let's Go Live and the festival is that Yui actually cried. Our tall Yui only cried just a little tiny bit. I don't even know if you could call that "crying".

I don't see anything wrong in terms of HTT singing 3 songs and showing us two. Afterall they are a school club performing in the school festival which they only have 30 min playing time. Playing 3 songs is realistic (I think Live a live in SHnY also plays 3 songs? or only just 2?). Fuwa Fuwa time is the trademark song so they had to play it in any live but since we already seen in live last season. They have no reason to show it again.

I forget where I read it, but I think KyoAni said that Live a live is a one time thing and they will not show that much detail (blow that much budget) on a live concert in anime again. I think KyoAni is more trying to show that "we can make a live concert in anime look that cool" rather than setting it as a standard.

Thumbs up Sad yet happy

It was a amazing contest while the end was just I watched both songs 4 times each on RAW and subbed version was 5 times. I made these for all fans of K-ON which are the most perfect synchronizations of Yui/Azusa and Mio/Yui:

Also a nice face of all during concert custom assembled:

Originals are here since they are too big:

Special collage that was and let's remember it with this=>
In some other parts........this is the first song played and both were Yui's composed ones=>

Strangely enough the magic show costumes reminded me of something I saw in another anime....anyone had a feeling like that here=>

Is this someone that appeared earlier on the show?=>

Occult club people seeing the show and twins with another girl that can be potential Mugi fan club members in the future?=>

Also the interactions were great and funny especially the Mio/Ritsu Romeo and Juliet encore. The T-Shirt part was nice of Sokabe sempai to pitch in with her money installment. The student cheers along with the pictures being taken were a good sensation. Also the sleeping faces too at the end.
Well the show is over 9000 but 10/10 for this episode. Made the GIFs really quickly based on people's comments and glad to be back around here after a 18 hours work for over 5 days of farming!

:sigh: Almost got trolled by the rice song. Have to subtract a point from the first half because Mio didn't sing and a tad too much talking.

But then you can't help but give a perfect ten for the second half. :sob: (What? It's just sweat!)

Really nothing much to add here, apart from agreeing that Yui's MC-ing was a bit too irritating. That said, though, well, this is Yui that we're talking about.

Mio's statement about something ending so soon after it started rings pretty true to me. I still remember the first time I actually auditioned to play bass in a heavy metal band (late April of this year) - I was really nervous, but in the end, I really enjoyed rocking out while jamming to the audition song, and regretted the fact that the audition was only 15 minutes long. Summing up what I just said before I derail this thread, what Mio said was pretty fitting in the sense that once you actually do something you were afraid of doing, you'll enjoy doing it, and you will regret the lack of time to completely get over the previous fear and achieve maximum enjoyment.

Oh, and I nearly shed a few manly tears at the end of the episode, and I would have done so if I haven't altered my tear ducts on a sub-atomic level into glands of manly awesomeness.

I'll be posting my two cents on the new songs over at the music thread.

Yui MC'd for a little too long. Thats my only complaint.
I shed a manly tear when the girls broke into tears
The two new songs seemed to fit the whole concert perfectly, and the whole feeling of thanking everyone for everything was just really ;~;

It was! I checked it out to be sure. Yui's guitar is right next to her but in the beginning I was tricked into it being Mugi x Yui. Damn!

LOL u guys are tricked at first, as well as I am. I was thinking *who was it again in Yui's left side?* then why is these two holding hands, why not Azu-nyan instead? or Mitsu?

Just watched gg subs and I realised why I felt unsatisfied after watching it raw.

There's no Mio song! Travesty!

And Yui's "yui-ness" does get too much in the end...the final scene is still brilliant though.

Now to hope the final episode tops this one.

U&I and Gohan are nice songs in their own right, but wait till the inevitable Hisaka Yoko versions come out
