I've only seen about the first half hour because my PC couldn't handle 1080p, so if you want i could give you a review regarding my opinion on Ranka's delicious feet and how much ninja Brera still makes me giggle?

I can assure you, it got better when I put in hot chilli, and some jalapenos.

You must have a different sense of taste, then, as Shiroth.

However, if it was Sheryl's feet, then it needs no additional ingredients.

DID YOU HEAR THAT, EVERYONE???

MAGNUSKN IS A HUUUUUGE RANKA FAN!! CHEESIE ALSO LOVES HER!! SO DO TAK, JUSTINSTRIFE, AND BETOJR!!

HELL, HERBERT WOULD LOVE HER IF HE WERE STILL AROUND!!

I know this is true, 'cause Beto told me. And why would he lie?
You must have a hard-on for me Yot. Considering how in-active I've been on animesuki this past year or so. Gone gay for me, have you?

And no, I am not a Ranka fan. Series or Movie. She is better in the movies(though confessing to Alto RIGHT after Sheryl 'dies', and both of her brothers possibly too, that was real for me).

Crusaders review is up.

Funnily enough, this time around he seems to be making a good lot of points which I've been making the past few days, instead of the other way around.

He still does count of a lot of points I hadn't even worked through, though, concerning the differences in characterization and how that works out for the two different continuities.

*edit* His argument of this being an in-universe movie made by Brera really makes a lot of sense.

Reminds me of what Tarantino once said that Kill Bill was a movie made within the Pulp Fiction universe.

Pity. I liked Beto's suggestion that all the Ranka hate was just in my head...

Same here. Perhaps you should go for the 720p. Or even the DVD rip might work well. You can take the subs from the 1080p and join it with the 720p or visa-verse.

Me, I converted my 1080p down to 640x480 because my laptop hates 720p whilst editing in Sony Vegas.

I put the subs as a separate file (subtitles.ass) so I can use the .avi file in my editing software. I'm an editor, so I could help you a bit on codecs or conversion if you need help. I'm a pro at it by now, been an editor for 3 years and have had many codec/conversion errors (even compression errors) and have learned from all of them. Now I'm a XVID .avi person (with 1.5 Quatinizer) and the second movie came out as 2.56GBs from the 10.6GBs. Great quality too.

I actually do. It almost died down during the ep 19-20 mark, which was the same for quite a lot of people, unsurprisingly, really, but I just fell for her movie counterpart, a direct follow up of DYRL Minmay's dramatic conversion.

And I like how my name always follows after Maggie, good luck with the angsty soul searching over what I truly mean to you, Yotty...

Well for as many times as you've mentioned me in this sub-forum when I have obviously not been around, you must yearn for me in some way. Miss me Yot? Wish I was around like I use to be?

I never said that. Quit putting words in my keyboard output.

I meant you're the most evil of Sheryl's fans, since you admitted you'be "apeshit with delight" if they had harvested Ranka's organs to save Sheryl.

That's not a nice thing to say. Movie!Ranka is a nice person ( arguably a bit too perfectly nice and therefore bland ).

Series!Ranka, however... ^^

I wish the series had movie ending..
I don't know, I liked the movie, but everything went too smooth and fast.
Of course series developed each character more, especially Sheryl x Alto development (when in last 6 or about 6 episodes in the series they spent a lot of time together hugging, kissing, eating, cooking together). Here I just didn't see why Alto chose Sheryl or that he even made a choice about any of 2 girls.
Maybe it's just me or anyone can explain it to me. You also say Alto is a different character here, why? I think that he stayed the same, it was just shorter time to delve into his family story etc.

And btw, what was that blue octopus-like thing that connected itself to Vajra queen. Were/was they/it Grace's gene-modified superiors/allies from Galaxy?

Anyway, I liked the movie like you all.

Yep, the hive-mind "it" is/are Grace's overlords of Galaxy, akin to the Human Instrumentality Committee (aka SEELE) in Eva.

He was developed along different lines in the movie than in the series, the character growth emphasized in the series was truncated to develop other parts of him. I still prefer series!Alto, although movie!Alto also is fine.
