Problem when posting (was ... )

When I post in a thread on here my post is on it's own and not put together with others posts... Why is that?

I normally use Invision forums. I'm not used to how this works.

You should use the button to reply to a thread

Well...i'm a bit confused about this...this thread here is the only one you created...

so what i'm thinking is that maybe you posted and your post appeared in the next page? and that's why you thought it was by itself?

or do you mean that your posts aren't connected to the one your replying to?

If that's the case then it's just a matter of changing the board views...but in a way i don't think taht'll be a good idea since mostly all of us are used to the Linear View if you click on Display Modes (above the first post of a page) you'll see it has 3 views...Linear, Hybrid, and Threaded now i'm pretty sure it's the Threaded View your used to...

but like i said..everyone here got used to the Linear view so if you pick one of the other the posts might seem out of order and not make sense to what post their connected to

Make sure you press the button when you want to reply to a thread. When you start a then of course it is extra.

BTW: Make sure you use a meaningful topic, don't just use "..." or "help" or "question".

EDIT: Sigh, everyone else posts faster than I do

Sorry, I should've explained myself better.

My meaning is that when I reply to topics my post is in it's own, it doesn't appear on any of the pages. I have to use the list thing at the top of each thread to read my post. That's very new to me.

I'm making myself sound utterly stupid here, aren't I? >_>

I think that if you wait a little longer after you have posted the thread should go into your message.
You just have to wait the complete loading.
You could also use the preview button though ^^

I'm not new to forums, I do know how to make threads and reply to them, even if right now It doesn't look that way.

Gah, I'll figure out where I'm goin' wrong. Thanks for trying. ^^

Uhm, did you try to scroll up?

If yes: look into SuperChops answer about the different types of views.
