Japanese high schools start in year 10, and as he's had a summer holiday (spent saving Rukia), he's in year 11 at age 16/7 (Dangai's messed it up), which I guess would make him a 'junior', having missed about 6 months due to the Winter War and its aftermath. Therefore he could at most have a 1 year time gap to keep him at school until the conclusion of the plot.

So he be a junior after everything happened and if Tite does time skip he'd be a senior

Back to the subject, If there is a time skip, I hope there will be a good explanation of what happend in the time that was elapsed, but knowing KT we won't get it.

Japanese high school also starts in April and ends in March. Summer break doesn't end the school year. So he's still in year 10 of school, but according to one of the character books, his birthdate is in July, so he has turned 16 over the course of the series. And don't forget he wasn't physically in the Dangai, so he never really gained any extra age. Although I guess you could say he's got a (relatively) "old soul"... ^_^

Bit late to the party but you guys do realize this entire fight has been for a week tops? They had a war for one week and ended it.

My prediction on Bleach, Yuzu became a shinigami and the series changes its name to Magical God of Death Yuzu! Her and her trusty shinigami kitty fight bad hollows for the sake of justice, whilst trying to keep her double identity a secret from her friends, her love interest is also her masked savior tuxedo shinigami mask.

Turns out Yuzu is adopted and really the daughter of the Spirit Queen, thats right it was a girl this whole time who sent her, shinigami mask and the 4 sailor shinigami scouts to Earth after the Spirit Kingdom was almost destroyed by Aizen's mother and starts Yuzu's quest to stop Aizen's mother.

Aww come on its not a bad idea he already copied DBZ for months why not Sailor Moon now?

Aren't you too hyper? Bleach doesn't deserve so much excitement =/

Though I will give it another shot and will imagine that arrancar arc had never happened. If Kubo will be able to destroy series with completly new start then there is no hope.

Interesting thing to say, Ichigo's always seemed too grown-up, compared to, say...Naruto from part I, Goku, Luffy and all the teenage heroes (EVEN Train).
Spoilers look like a transition chapter, from finally calm to upset yet again...I shall cherish the moment's reprieve that Ichigo's life got.

It feels like yesterday..." We see Ichigo lying on his back. He is in the Karakura graveyard, cushioned by a patch of verdant grass. His hands are behind his head as he stares wistfully into the azure sky. Suddenly, a face, its details obscured by shadow, pops into his view, rather close to his own face. A low voice comes from the figure. "Kurosaki-kun?" "GAH!" The noise startles the figure, which takes a step back. Ichigo himself quickly sits upward and comically scrambles back, only to see Orihime. He breathes a sigh of relief. "Oh, it's just you, Inoue...geez, don't surprise me like that! You nearly gave me a heart attack." Orihime, at seeing the look on his face, can't help but giggle. "Heehee, I'm sorry! I just came to bring my brother some flowers and noticed someone in the distance, just laying there on the grass...I saw the orange hair and figured it had to be you." Ichigo scratches the back of his head in that usual manner of his. "Ah..." "So, what brings you down here? Did you come to visit your mother?" Ichigo nods, then looks over at his mother's tombstone. "Yeah, and this place...reminded me of something." We see a short flasback panel of Ichigo standing in front his mother's grave, asking Rukia to allow him to be a shinigami a bit longer. She sits in a tree overlooking him and smiles. At that point, Orihime's voice rouses him from his reverie. "Oh...that day...it's today, isn't it? The day you met..." Ichigo allows himself a small, pensive smile. "Rukia, yeah." The two are quiet for a few moments, each looking at the ground, before Ichigo breaks the silence. "...Have you talked to her recently?" "Not since the last time I told you, which was a couple months ago...she's probably pretty busy with things in Soul Society, having finally been made a Vice Captain and all." "Ah...yeah, I figure got a lot to d--" At that moment, a ringing noise breaks him off mid-sentence - his cell phone. Flipping it open, he answers tentatively. "Hello?" A deep voice comes through on the phone's earpiece. "Ichigo...there's trouble." "Dad?" Ichigo listens for a moment on the phone. His eyes widen in disbelief. "...What?!" Ichigo sits there on the grass, the phone held to his ears, while Orihime looks on worriedly. Side Text: A shocking revelation!! What could it be? __________________ Law of Inherent Combustibility: Everything explodes. Everything.
