I rarely remember solar beams in SRW OG. It's not that ecchi to begin with plus they only over react that stupid solar beam if the characters looks young and guess what. They only do that stupid move when the new law started by isshithara started. They don't do that kind of crazy thing before and if they do it's only darken it or small ray but or some thick mist but this is crazy!!!

It's possible. The official site says release date for volume 1 is tomorrow, but you usually find that they're released a day or two prior.

LOL, I strangely enough thought the censors had a strange humour to it in the way it was done therefore I found it funny, Also I thought the censor gave the show a certain charm about it that portrayed the more innocent side of the show i.e Fukune, Taketo style of writing which he says is very euphemistic.

^ didn't I tell you. Bluray/DVD is always worth the wait. So let's forget the solar beam in front of our screen in the past episode.

But I think it give me a bad feedback while watching that one. I didn't ended up listening to Taketo's poem instead just look at the butterfly.

Can you really say that when the butterfly parts are the last thing you're looking at?

I can sort of see that, actually. It almost became part of the joke.

Can't say I'm surprised, though I am a bit saddened by it. For all its ecchi scenes, there was a nice underlying story that few people saw. Taketo was genuinely interested in Fukune and stuck with his feelings, despite Utae (who I personally liked more than Fukune) trying to seduce him when she had the chance. And Utae herself turned out to be different than most idols, in the sense that she's not selfish and genuinely cares about her friends and supports them if she has to.

Unfortunately, the show had an image problem from the very start. A lot of people don't like shows that are extremely heavy in fanservice, especially not when the story can be summarized as: "Teenage boy with talent to write porn falls in love with a girl who has a passion for playing the clarinet." Add to that the fact that it was censored to death (not so much because of the content, but more to lure otaku into buying the Blu-Rays), and if Astarotte no Omocha was anything to go by, disaster was pretty much inevitable. Then again, no one expected that show to bomb so hard, so this was pretty much unexpected at the time.

Consider the source when deciding what's a flop and what isn't. DVD sales are down across the board for the summer shows, unfortunately.

The character songs are, overall, pretty good. There's some nice voices in this new cast, though the only one whose singing might be an acquired taste is Raika. It's got this kind of breathy quality to it that I can't quite put into words.

I also love how Tsukuru's song repeatedly mentions world domination. The goal of all mad scientists!
