Oh, I loved this episode. I don't know if it's because I'm warming up to the characters or if the comedy is getting better, but this episode made me laugh a lot.

Having Shinohara's self insert character be voiced by Tohru motherfucking Furuya was awesome. Shinohara must be honored. I loved how he made fun of Bossun's main character powers, even he is aware of how incredibly lame his concentration gimmick is
I hadn't really noticed until now, but Bossun is probably the most normal character of the whole cast, which makes him a bit boring compared to them. That said, that doesn't make a bad main characer. As Itou Nami has proven, the most normal character can also become the most endearing one.

I didn't find chibi Bossun that cute, however Himeko going crazy over his cuteness made her amazingly adorable. I was dying from her moe while she was dying from Bossun's moe. HNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGG!!

Switch's daddy act was pretty funny as well; a classic but good joke.

Great stuff overall. I hope they'll be able to keep that up.

Lol Bossun's character wasn't good enough during the interview. Luckily they were able to show his true self in action.

Best part was after Bossun drank that cola and turned him into a 3 year old. Himeko stole the show after that with her motherly love. Also Switch was funny with that mustache as the dad. Liked everyone else's fantasies after encountering him.

Having Tohru Furuya voicing Shinohara Kenta's his insert character was absolutely genius . I never expected that would happen, and totally made the episode.

Was a smart way of combing the two chapters that originally had nothing to do with one another. A lot of chapters are similar, so i can see two being combined in a similar fashion more often now. We manga readers were waiting got little Bossun chapter to be animated for the sole reason that is Himeko. Her hidden feelings for such things is so damn adorable , all the more animated thanks to Shiraishi Ryoko's work.

& of course, totally loved Roman's scene . Her total over the top nature is just hilarious animated.

Glad they added the shock that there wouldn't be a Sket Dan manga after the credits. Perfect placement.

Finally the episode where we get to see Himeko's maternal instincts explode as Bossun said. The still frame pics got a little irritating, but was tolerable. Everything else was just pure Himeko fun...

Yeah, I'm not that huge a fan of the still frame and triple take either. At first it was fine, but later on it just gets tiring. This is new too, is the director for this episode different from the previous ones? Sorry I'm too lazy to check...Aside from that, I think they did a good job as usual though.

The Hinohara Enta part was okay, mini-bossun is definitely the more hilarious part though. So de-aging is the way to get a harem in this series, huh. Not only did he get three girls wanting to take her home, he's even blessed with having his face smooshed in both Himeko's and Unyuu's bouncy, bountiful breasts, and even just a few millimeters away from taking Roman's first kiss.

Speaking of, it's great to see Roman again here. I really hope that this is the sign of many things to come, Roman wasn't present in the original manga but their addition of her here seems natural and funny. I really laughed when I see that not only Roman has the old stereotype of having a toast in her mouth when she bumped into Bossun, but even the jam on the toast is heart-shaped. Nice attention to detail there, I hope they have her for more filler scenes as well. Oh, and does the whole "can't kiss until her manga becomes an anime" reminds anyone else of Bakuman?

In any case, squee-mode Himeko voiced by Ryoko Shiraishi is just full of win.

I would not have guessed that ep 9 was 2 separate chapters combined. Looking back now that I know, I can see that there were 2 stories. But when I was watching the episode, I thought they flowed smoothly. Introducing the physique-altering soda during the mangaka interview was a smart move on the writers' part. It gave a natural feeling transition from the first story to the second.

Baby Bossun was too cute. I can easily identify with Himeko's reaction. I would be doing the same, except not as openly.

Looking forward to Chuu-sans next appearance if it's the chapter I'm thinking off.. they need to pad the end of that chapter out a tad.... hopefully the overuse of still shots is a one off thing.... but switch with mustache = win

Anyway next episode better keep that 100 Limited scene lol.

It only seems this way due to doing some episodes which covered 2 chapters as well as them combining a few together.

Oh my god, this episode was just freaking hilarious. It hit so many spots everywhere. It would be tough to top this one.

For some reason, I found Switch just casually playing his game while not giving a damn at the absurdity of their situation quite comical.

Himeko on the other hand, was just plain adorable when she was fangirling over little Bossun... but I think I completely lost it when she and Switch started posing for a family picture with Bossun showing the most hilarious WTF expression ever.

I'm not a diehard reader of the manga, but I have read some of it. I don't know if my memory just isn't that accurate or whatever, but in my opinion the anime has adapted the original material in such a way that it comes out fresh with a little extra stuff added in. It's always charming, lively and fun, that I feel a bit sad when I reach the end of an episode.

For the sake of a favourite arc of mine, I would very much like a second season if the anime can continue to pump out quality stuff like this! (That is, if this certain arc isn't going to be adapted in the anime.)

The one thing that kept going on in my head throughout the whole of episode 9 was "Did someone from the Clannad movie staff work on this?". The episode was full of split screens, super lens flare and a hundred soft coloured still shots (or whatever they're called). It was like watching the Clannad movie minus the ugly character designs. Other than that, I definitely enjoyed this episode. A lot of fun moment going on with all the recurring characters.

Another enjoyable ep. Liked their drama that they filmed in the beginning. Never though that the teacher would do that. Another showdown with the student council next week.

Totally random anime original KimiTodo reference in this weeks episode . Nicely done, and i hope for more in the future.

Animation was pretty poor this week, though it looks like they're saving the budget for the start of next weeks arc, which i'm glad because it's gonna need it. Can't wait.
