Excuse me for not reading the whole rest of this topic, but I just must add that I am a HUGE fan of jazz rock/fusion, like Chicago.

Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is?

Beginnings
Just You 'n' Me
Goodbye (Live version, because that's all YouTube has.)
Poem For The People (same as above)
Loneliness Is Just A Word (No YouTube video here. =( )

Also Byblos is a very good song of their's.

The band does not get enough attention. Probably because the lead guitarist had to die and then it got taken over by Cetera and turned into the most sappiest pop ballads ever. =(

Blood, Sweat & Tears is also nice, although their consistency in songs is not on the level of Chicago's, unfortunately. Not IMO anyway.

Spinning Wheel
God Bless The Child
You've Made Me So Very Happy
I Love You More Than You'll Ever Know

Steely Dan, which has already been mentioned in this topic also has some good songs.

I especially like Do It Again, but I actually saw that mentioned in this topic already.

My other favorite Classic Rock songs:

I Can't Tell You Why - Eagles (No YouTube video for this one. =( )
So Into You - Atlanta Rhythm Section
Foreplay / Long Time - Boston
How Long? - Ace

Great picks! Dialogue and Another Rainy Day in New York City are two more favourites of mine by Chicago.

Steely Dan has so many great songs: Don't Take Me Alive, Black Friday, Haitian Divorce, Reelin' in the Years, Bodhisattva, etc.

Eagles are the closest thing to country I'll ever enjoy, and I can't say I've ever heard of Ace or the Atlanta Rhythm Section. They're quite good though!

Nice pick on one of Boston's most famous songs - my favourite would have to be Rock and Roll Band. ^^

Because of its energy, I always enjoyed Dialogue from Chicago more than the rest. But, their best of album from the Transit Authority years I guess covers all the best from those years, rest are pretty much forgettable.

And, if you are into classic rock with jazz elements, you may want to check, Zappa, Traffic, and Soft Machine, too...And if you enjoy them, then you can move onto other Winwood connected bands by adding blues to your mix (Blind Faith, Spencer Davis Group)...And, it will also be easier to move from Soft Machine to other Canterbury bands (Caravan, Matching Mole, Gong, etc).

My music tastes stretch from 1680 to 2009. In the classic rock genre... I especially like the Rolling Stones, Led Zepplin, the Greatful Dead, old school (1983 and back) AC/DC, you get the point. I like the old rock way better than the "modern" crap they make today.

Helter Skelter, alright! "I GOT BLISTERS ON ME FINGERS!"

And Rush is awesome; they actually come from Toronto, Canada, about an hour from where I used to live.

YYZ is fantastic; hopefully you've heard a lot more, because Rush has a TON more great songs like: New World Man, Roll The Bones, The Trees, Working Man, The Spirit of Radio, Subdivisions, 2112 Overture, Fly By Night, and tons more

Oh wow, nice! The Beatles are awesome, even when they weren't together. My favourite after the Beatles was Paul McCartney and Wings.

And here's how to do a proper cover, folks:

ORIGINAL BODHISATTVA BY STEELY DAN

COVER BY TOTO

And also, Meat Loaf!

Good vids guys. Since we're veering a bit into jazz/rock combos, figured I'd post one of my favorites: Wes Montgomery. Give it a listen if you like jazz/rock, this guy is amazing and has a really chill style.

Indeed, and that's one of their chillest songs too. Here's another one of their great songs (of which there are many)

"You gotta cry without weeping, talk without speaking, scream without raising your voice" ~ Running To Stand Still - U2

Easily one of my favorite lyrics for any artist or group. Sung so beautifully in this song. This song and the album it is on are so poetic.
