WOW, that trailer was amazing! The fight scenes look incredible! Everyone looks so badass, and Bright Stream sounds amazing.

Actually, after thinking about it for a bit, it makes sense to keep Fate's dream sequence. The previous movie did well with the theme of moving beyond past tragedies. Precia couldn't accept Fate because she was too caught up in her grief and guilt. And leading on from that, Fate get's a chance to have what you she used to want, but leaves because she now has Nanoha and her new family. So she chooses her new life over clinging to the things she used to want, and Fate's part of the story comes full circle. It seems like the movie is going too create something of a parallel between Hayate and the Wolkenritter and Fate easing into a new life. And I personally think that would be awesome.

Lindy's part has her Clyde and how she's trying to stop the Wolkenritter, so when Fate is sucked into the Book of Darkness, it will create some interesting drama. I thought it was strange we didn't get a reaction from Lindy when Fate was sucked into the Book of Darkness. But the more I've learned about the direction this movie is taking, the more I think it was odd and disappointing that Clyde's death was more about Graham in the original series than it was about the Harlaown family. It was really there as a motivation for Graham. We're told in the Sound Stages that Chrono rarely smiled after his dad's death, but Amy and Fate have changed that, but that's a piece of development left out of the actual series. And the only time Lindy's reaction to Clyde's death is mentioned, is when she reassures Graham that she doesn't blame him for her husband's death, which is actually really frustrating.

I'm really happy with the direction movieverse seems to be going in, as much as I enjoyed the original A's.

Yes, I would love that too! Reinforce is supposed to have more screentime in this movie, and I'm really looking forward to that!

Bought Schwertkreuz (for myself) and Laevantine for someone. Will grab the 2nd A's movie Blu-Ray... but I'm not sure when it would come out...

They also kept the White Devil scene (somewhere in Episode 9 part 2) except it looks like Nanoha comes out with a sad face.

Reinforce-sized Starlight Breaker?

Wonder if Arisa and Suzuka saw them.

Given how that scene went absolutely nowhere, I expect it to be axed.

Hope not, it would be nice to have more hints about Arisa and Suzuka's supernatural senses xD

Not sure what you mean about "nowhere" Keroko. Arisa and Suzuka seeing them, and being protected by that SLB by Nanoha and Fate, was basically the reveal that N&F were magical girls. That led to the explaining that took place later. It was also the impetus for Nanoha to come clean about what was going on, to her family as well.

But you're right; it's development for Nanoha, so it will be axed to make room for the Fate development.

Bah, it added flavor to the reveal, sure. But you could have cut out the Arisa and Suzuka in the barrier bits and it would have made just as much sense.

What I mean by "it went nowhere" is that it hinted at Arisa and Suzuka having magic potential (since the barrier tosses out people who aren't magical) hell everyone was surprised to find them in, and in the end it was never spoken of again.

Or invite every muggle friend (Arisa, Suzuka and Takamachi family inside the Asura).

From that perspective, yeah. But there was no good explanation for it. It could have been that Shamal set up the barrier to include the two, because she wasn't sure she would be alright letting them out.

But yeah, I'm as disappointed as anyone by the shafting of Nanoha's two childhood friends. Partly why I included them in Crisis, and continuing them in G-Squad.

But I will grant that taking part out for the sake of the movie, does make sense. Then again, taking Fate's Lotus Eater dream out also makes sense, and it looks like they kept that one.

2.5 hour movie, though. They are really stretching into long territories.

Bler, don't remind me. That dream sequence could've been scrapped in the series as well with no ill effect. But hey, it's Fate. And Fate sells. When you shift from a storytelling perspective and look at it from a marketing perspective it makes perfect sense to keep it in.

2.5? Do they mean 2 hours 40 minutes with 2.5 minutes for opening, 2.5 minutes for credits and 5 minutes for transformations?

Well, the transformations are kind of part of the movie.
