You know, I've always wondered about something concerning the ratings for AGE:

AFAIK, AGE is the very first Gundam TV series that has been officially simulcasted online on Youtube. Is this factored in on any discussion regarding ratings and popularity? Do note that when we talk about ratings, it refers primarily to television broadcast ratings, and disregards all other forms of media including online streaming.

Brightman's little data sheet says TV Ratings, so I'd figure no, the Youtube simulcasts aren't being factored in.

At least not this time.

It was answered before but the Youtube broadcast has no effect on the Japanese ratings because it isn’t' available in Japan.

It could be for convenience if they don't own DVR systems, since on YT it's there all the time despite the lower quality. Although even if it was available Japan, I find it unlikely they're gonna make it that easily accessible as it is to certain areas right now.

i tried watching G saviour, couldnt make it past the first ep. too much screaming when they get the body suits on and its idea is a bit bizarre for MS control. i found gundam X very good also.id say sofar the GS se1-2 are the worst in plot as they are near mirror images/recaps. the other series may not be as interesting but their timeline and conflicts are interesting.

i think Turn A, gundam X and AGE may have lower ratings doe to the fact that there arent as many large scale battles as the other series. i find those 3 have more value in the daily life of the eras in question. battles are good but not if theres no sort of context as to why they came about.

Going by the fellow peeps at 4chan. That blog is to be taken with a grain of salt the size of Jupiter.

Why don't we wait for Sunrise to make an an announcement? If any. I for one have strong confidence in AGE. I won't let haters and trolls ruin my fun. I think if AGE was on its way to being canceled, they wouldn't be pushing generation 3.

Actually, AGE being cancelled explains the breakneck speed they took to finish off Gen 2.

It seems quite possible that this was originally scheduled for 4 cours, then changed to 3 and will finish in 9-10 episodes. The math seems to fit.

I'm curious, but when was it said that Asem's arc was cut short? A lot of people seem to be under the impression Sunrise cut it short and such. But...is it true or just speculation. If not speculation, I'd like to see the source that said it was purposely cut.

I dunno if it was cut short per se... but the last two episodes certainly felt rushed.
