Yes, I'm well aware of how it's supposed to work. My problem is that it won't work regardless of what I do and regardless of what's been installed. It's frustrating.

Hey, does anyone know of any mods that sort of reward you for reaching the max level of a certain skill?
Sort of like the skillcape system in Runescape if any of you played it, when you get level 99 of a skill, you get a unique-looking cape that has an image of the skill on the back of it, that can perform a special animation that can only be performed while wearing the cape, it didn't really have any other purpose(prayer bonus, which was decent, but there was better capes) and was more of a status-symbol and gave you a sense of achievement....of sorts. Is there anything like that for Skyrim that isn't like, broken or overpowered? |

Well, it's not for maxing out skills, per se, but you can try Achieve That!, which gives a number of in-game Achievements for you to accomplish, some of which have minor boons (extra skill points, an extra perk point or two, some slight damage buffs, etc).

Argh, I give up. Spent the better part of three days trying to get Open Cities to play nice with my mods. I just can't get it to work.
Fuckin' Xbox. Fuckin' Microsoft. Damnable memory gimping.

Yes I'm running on 1.8 and no I'm not trying to run it on the 360. But the game being built for the 360 meant that it had to fit in system constraints and thus we got the five walled cities in Skyrim, instead of everything being out in the open like in Morrowind. So I curse Microsoft for that, because it hurts things for PC users.

I wanted to use it for Command Dragon, which allows free control over tamed dragons, and given the walled cities...
But no, Bethesda had to be busy fellating Microsoft and the Xbox 360...

I like the way you think. Yeah, I fully grasp that "programming for the lowest common denominator" seems to have gripped the industry -- doesn't mean I'm amused by the concept when good programming practice would mean "check your run time hardware environment and dance accordingly".

Well, as it stands, I'd been trimming the hell out of my load order, and optimizing the hell out of my .ini files, but in the end it just wasn't good enough; too much I want to keep to use it.

All right, my gamesave's been screwed by the phantom quest that I was forced to pick up someone else's gamesave and edit it to match almost that of the old one. The tricky part was to get the exact same facial features, so there was the new RaceMenu, which allows me to load the old gamesave, type the modified showracemenu command, "save" the face data to Clipboard (and in turn paste it to Notepad), before going over to the new gamesave, open the racemenu, and from the Clipboard, load the data. All this without the hassle of older methods.
--------------- THIS MOD HAS FINALLY ARRIVED! Now if only there should be an uninterruptible connection or a high-speed mirror... I want to be there and swim. http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/33017/
