Hi Vallen, Happy New Year to you! Nice to see that you're still active. I'll probably go back to logging in only rarely (this marks my first login in 2.5 years), but I'm making the rounds on all of those profiles I remember from the past and of course, yours was one of them (made even easier by the fact that it doesn't seem you've changed your avatar at all!). I hope you're doing well!
It seems only you and GreyZone have been calling people out on them advocating what is an outright violation of Japan's sovereignty rights, to not call it bullying. I am myself flabbergasted at them casually suggesting what Japan MUST do. We ALL know what would open if the Gate opened in NYC or Washington or LA. USA will flex its muscles over China or Russia and the two wouldrun back home their tail between the legs. If it was Russia, Putin would just give his killer glare. If it was china, they will laugh us off while joking about how we play the self-determination of people card when its convenient.
I have never seen a work of fiction and its country being scrutinized with such intensity and suspicion before Gate (Kancolle came close but its mostly bitter American players who demand devs to put USN shipgirls in the game). It's as if a court examined the case of a repented criminal who have lived a normal and well adjusted life after his release, under the suspicion that he may do it again. A suspicion that never left the court and the population at large.
Regarding your question of divorce in the Captain Earth thread, the anime series that most immediately jumps to mind where it was present and obvious was Koutoura-san.
