Just as with all the episodes, this episode really just bored me. It wasn't my anime to be watching, so that's understandable. And massive carnage was kind of strange... I mean, I can understand why, but that just seemed a little forced. It also wasn't very exciting, since it was just a repitition of the end of the first arc in terms of carnage. Again, a 5. I'm sure it was a great episode, this just isn't my series.

I loved that episode. 10/10
Now hoping for a second season with 26 episodes covering the next 4 volumes and of course much better animation! Does anyone know, how succesful this series was in Japan? Spoiler for 13:

Honestly I was hoping to see more romantic development between Horo and Lawrence seems its seems like such an obvious plot device. Maybe this holds out hope for a second season.
Not the best episode in the series but no worse than any of the others. |

I definitely agree that spice and wolf is not eveybody's anime, just like how I never really got hyped up about clannad despite it being hyped up and almost everybody telling me to watch it.I did watch and I can't say I hate it but I don't love it either. For me, I loved spice and wolf because it was interesting to me.The setting, the themes, the concept, everything. The only thing it lacks is what the ctitics say,the excitment, and I think that was it's biggest drawback. However, thinking in over, I have to give credit to the studio for doing a good job since animating a light novel is no easy feat.I did disagree with the use of alot of korean animators in the credits even if it was to cut costs.
Bottom line, I have never said out loud before that {X} anime is boring or {Y} anime sucks because its just not very proper to generalise a series based on personal preferences.I think that as long as you are happy with watching a series then it is a good series.

Spice and Ending...
A lot of the draw Spice and Wolf has, is it's originality. It manages to break away from the heavily clichéd genres that tend to dominate the market. As with anything that breaks the trend, it's bound to have a fair amount of critics.
For my part, I came to enjoy the series for the unique character development and romance. Other aspects that provided no personal interest I simply took in stride. The ending was pleasant, and I expect nothing less from Spice and Wolf. It closes the arc nicely while setting the stage for another season. I'll be looking forward to it. On another note: Purely speculation here, but I'd be willing to bet Lawrence didn't call either name when the bells rung, which would make what he says after they stop, that much more significant. |

Must of been one hell of a ride on Horo. Going at speeds people just aren't capable of moving at in that time must've been something. Overall really have enjoyed the series. Maybe it didn't have a ton of action, but really that was just fine. Had some great moments sprinkled in there and really wasn't the main part of the series. Horo, Lawrence, and their interactions really were the highlight of the series. Horo still is such a great character. Got plenty of depth and sides to her which always made the episodes interesting. First arc really displayed the lonliness and sadness she had to endure for so long. Second had the jealousy, but also a lot about her current relationship with Lawrence. Ending was pretty much as I expected. Tie up the loose ends here and leave things in fine condition for a second season. Now to wait for the DVD episode and probably re-watch the series.

Not really sure about this whole serie. I've had a hard time grasping the plotline/storyline as it feels like its only been a few minor things happening (apart from the debt). Maybe I was expecting somthing more. Its a very good looking anime thou with fun and likable characters.
Now to the episode! pretty cool overall. I somhow like finals coz it makes everything clear. Horo showed off her powers which was pretty nice as we've only seen it in the sewers before and now it was more open. Some jabs and laughs and flashes of how people were doing...But I could not help but wonder "was that all?". Im expecting a second season because Horo didnt reach her destination. Feels like a cliffhanger even if it really isnt. I suppose this feeling means their adventure as just begun... |

Peacable conclusion...
Souten no Seigyoku, it may be true the 'popular' series like Naruto often settle conflict through combat, but this is by no means the only way to resolve an issue and is in fact furthest from reality. For a show like Spice and Wolf which boasts a mature perspective, submission in that circumstance is a much more acceptable course of action for Horo the wise.

What a great end to my favorite Winter series. The ending in the courtyard with Horo and Lawrence was awesome. I loved how he turned the tides. It's usually Horo toying with Lawrence.
and YAY they left the door WIDE OPEN for second season I would love to see a second 24 episode season. Maybe give 8 episodes to each novel rather then 6. Sometimes throughout the season it felt like a little too much material was being squished in an episode. But overall: Great series. Not for everybody. Certainly lacks in a few areas but makes up for it with a pair of great characters and a solid storyline. It' also has a ton of charm and wit to it. |

Spice and Wolf has been a special treat this season considering that there have been very few good animes to keep up with during it. I'm disappointed that it's come to an end, and I definitely would like to see another season. Especially this episode represents why it's so good. It felt really short, just like this season .
The banters of Horo and Lawrence are definitely great to follow. This episode earns a 9/10 for me. This series earns a 8.8/10. A very good rating for me and is definitely worth buying if I ever wanted to spend the money.

Wow.
I thought this episode was great. The ending suited it well.... ONLY if there is going to be a second seasion. I hope this show is picking up popularity in Japan (If it hasn't already). I will definately support 'em by buying the DVDs. However, if there is ony one season, then the ending sucked. I liked the Horo x Lawrence interaction at the end. I love the way Horo handles getting teased. Great series. I definately want more. |

I'd say that this series' most glaring flaw is that it's short by a few dozen episodes (with related number of story arcs, of course).
Even if there were part of the story I found rather shoddy, the characters were just too likable. |
