Well, here is something new: http://vietnamdefence.com/Home/khqs/...1310/52986.vnd
Basically, instead of sending small group of F-22 for surprise attack, the new tactic calls for 4 Raptor and a Globemaster for routine attack, cover and refuel. |

Need to check something: Is there any EXPLICIT reference to THE WORD 'Artificial Intelligence' in the Muv-Luv series? I know there's a bit of talk about AI (such as people thinkign the Susanoo is piloted by AI) , but are they actually CALLEd AIs?

Yes, but wave's point is that to the world, nobody knows what made up the Susanoo's computer.
Having said that wave, the term has been thrown around for a while. I think there's no issue in using the term AI.

Yes, it is manned. We know that. The XM3 OS has also absolutely ZERO to do with development of an Artificial Intelligence - it's essentially better drivers and programs and OS for the machine.
Wavehawk's question is whether AI as a concept is known and present in the Muv-Luv universe. We understand that XG-70 was piloted by Sumika. we realise that it had a human crew. The question Wavehawk asks is whether the concept of an Artificial Intelligence is known to the people of Muv-Luv. Furthermore, he's presenting a hypothesis that in-universe, to anyone who is not privy to Yuuko's plans, the XG-70 is being piloted by an AI of some sort. Metawise, we know that it was piloted by Sumika and Takeru. In-universe, those briefed on Operation Ouka - specifically the Valkyries - are aware of who actually is piloting that giant machine.

Just a note: as late as 1945, Artificial Intelligence as a concept was already being discussed.
So you should be okay if you want to use the term AI, wave.

Question: Do export variants TSF have less modern electronic system than original version (like real life)? For example, between normal Su-27 and Su-27SK?
Also, what kind of pairing would be better on land: F-15E/F-16 Block 52 or Su-27SM/Mig-29OVT? Last edited by Fireminer; 2014-01-06 at 06:35. |

I kept meaning to answer this, but well, shit happened, so better late than never.
Generally, without knowing the specifics and full details, all this is conjecture. Having said that, it's only the USSR that was so keen on export versions. US fighters weren't as badly hobbled as their Soviet counterparts - though that's partly because as I understand it, the US was mostly selling to NATO and allies, whereas the USSR was selling to client states and keeping the good stuff for itself. As to whichever pairing is better, my bias is towards the US teen fighters rather than Soviet, simply because US is in a better position to provide TSFs and support than the Soviets. Also, depending on the size of your forces, as a general rule a force with less than about 300 or so airframes will prefer to go for a single type to simplify logistics. The US, which has thousands of TSFs, can go with a Hi-Lo mix and further segregate/specialise, as opposed to other nations which aren't able to maintain that level of economic and logistical support, and so go for a multirole approach.

Say, how would everyone rated the Rafale, Gripen and Typhoon to other 3rd Generation TSF like Su-47 or F-22? In real life, these European jets are 4+ Generation, and the latter two are 5 Generation. But in here, they are all Third. Plus, I don't remember we have any record of these machine sparing.

Has anyone state clear of how many Horse Power a TSF's generator could pack? If the internal mechanism is an imitate of human - greater range of movement in exchange of more force to do a work - then it must has be quite something.

Say, how the heck did China design and export a Meele Halberd that is for a TSF that wouldn't be deployed for years latter? If Schwarzesmarken happened in the late 80s - According to TSFIA, Theodore has already joined in 1983, and I don't think he has passed 30.
