I won't stand for you people sullying Elsie's good name with your lecherous innuendos! A pox on you all!
Seriously though, liking fire-trucks has got to be one of the most random character traits ever. Elsie is just... amazing. Even if this show sucked (which it certainly doesn't), I'd still tune in to just to hear Kami-niisama.

She got to see a fire-truck in the third episode. That was, needless to say perhaps, adorable.
It was really nice to see how kind she was to her (seemingly) superior colleague, Haqua. She has such a good smile, and not an inkling of jealousy, just well-wishing. She's just so nice.

You must be the only one who thinks that then...*drops bombs on your head* and is Keima's even qualified to be called a fire truck?

I feel sorry for firefighters. "Fireman" is already a slang term for the male genitals, thanks to South Park, and now you're making Firetruck one as well.
Episode 4 showed that her kindness certainly wasn't a recently acquired trait. And staying on-topic, the scene where she started drawing a fire-truck instead of acting cracked me up.

Hey I just wanted to inform you guys of something.
Doesn't Elsie's full name "Elucia de Lute Ima" translated from latin into "Light from the Last Lute" or "Light of the Last Lute" or something similar? (abit rusty of the latin) eLucia meaning Light de meaning from, of Lute the instrument and Ima the feminine/vocative of Imus |
