The problem is that the switch is too fast. I went back to the LN and re-read it and it feels like it was literally the same day and that kinda quick change is crazy

That plus they cut all of Isseis thoughts/monologue for the healing scene. Plus his dialogue was stripped down too. It was decent but felt rushed to me.

One thing i forgot to mention about ep 9 that i like. Riser's advise to Rias. It may be directly from the LN but seeing it voice actually left a stronger impression. Riser really gave Rias a great advise.

I like Raiser's new look and attitude animated. He's not an asshole anymore. Like now he looks like a guy who deserves the harem he had in season 1 (volume 2). Can't wait to see the finale of this season it's going to be METAL

Well I never liked the lines on Riser's face that TNK did and thought it made him look kind of stupid but accentuated on his douchebagery.

At least everyone looks their age with Passione's designs. Although I do have some bones to pick with them with some of the designs.

Riser was SUPPOSED to be a grade A douche so the look isn't a surprise

Not really, the LN actually portrayed him in lighter tone. TNK made him more of a douche

Did you just make a comment about Irina for being involved even though she clearly wanted to do ecchi stuff with Issei in vol 9?
