Wow fantastic episode, much better than I thought it would be.
Touma and Accelarator's appearance makes me want Index 3 even more. Touma and Kuroko were also very hilarious. I really liked how even though story wise this was a slow ep, it went by really quickly, mainly because the chemistry between the characters was done so well. |

Mind you, I'm not saying that isn't psychotic by itself. |

Didn't we have a whole Biribiri vision thing? Of course she should see Touma better as she likes him a great deal. I mean he did save her in that flashback in this episode which left a huge impression on her.

Presumably the same way she doesn't bring chunks of the ground with her whenever she teleports: precise calculations. The whole thing apparently requires her to do ludicrously impossible 11th-dimensional mathematics in her head between the moment she decides she needs to teleport and the moment she actually teleports, all of which determines where she's going, how she'll arrive, what she'll take with her, etc. So she didn't bring whathisname with her when she teleported because she got the math precise enough to not include him when she jumped.

EDIT: Going back to check, if you view the scene a split-second before Kuroko teleports away to avoid being shocked, you'll see that she actually wasn't holding his hands anymore. Perhaps someone was thinking ahead about these things.

Quantum mathematics is basically what esper powers are in AC world. The faster/higher level of calculation you can do in your head the more powerful you are. A esper is basically a math geek. Accel being the strongest Esper in AC can put the current gen of super computer to shame with his level of calculation ability.

Oops I forgot AC is 50 years more advanced than the rest of the world and Tokiwadai is one of the top 5 girl schools in the city
That comment about '11-dimensional mathematics' isn't very far off mathematically (if it wasn't supposed to be a joke). In 3D space you can map out any point/shape with just 3 vectors, and by changing the scalars Kuroko can set a limit on which object will be teleported along with her own body. Of course that's under assumption there's no further complicated calculation involved (one of the most basic forms of vector calculation), and I actually expect she'd have to do more vector space stuff but it's not impossible to do it in your head in 50-year time |

and all schools in AC teach quantum mathematics. QM is part of the core curriculum to develop Esper powers.

I vaguely remember that in one the first season episodes, Saten was having trouble understanding the curriculum which had Quantum Theory in it and asked for Uiharu's help, so yeah I think it's taught in all the schools.
