How is the progress coming along unasuvas?
I checked your live journal page and you are almost done with Volume 1 it seems but the cleaner for chapter 2-3, proudfer, is questioned right? The following is copied from your blog to show the progress to animesuki: Umineko no Naku Koro ni (Episode 1: Legend of the Golden Witch) Volume 1 (156/251) -Chapter 00 (06/06) COMPLETE! -Chapter 01 (30/30) COMPLETE! -Chapter 02 (27/40) (to be cleaned by proudfer...?) -Chapter 03 (00/64) (to be cleaned by proudfer...?) -Chapter 04 (58/58) COMPLETE! -Chapter 05 (35/53) Volume 2 (000/???) -Chapter 06 (00/49) -Chapter 07 (00/59) -Chapter 08 (00/49) -Chapter 09 (00/50) If proudfer is taking too long or hasn't recently contacted you do you possibly plan to give the job of cleaning it to someone other than proudfer? Please clear this up for me. >_O We just want to let you know we haven't forgotten about you and are overly joyed that you are translating the Umineko manga. |

Thanks for the support. I feel so bad for promising you guys scanlations back in October and making you guys wait up until now. The truth is, I've been so busy with personal life (I probably shouldn't have tried to take on this project during the time I should've been working on college applications ;A; )... but the good news is that I've been getting a lot of help from people offering to help edit & typeset (LVD, Nabiki Asakura and .hacker@Maus are helping with typesetting and vandakiara is proofreading; I really can't thank you guys enough) and also, I'm on my Winter Break now, so I'll actually have time to do some work too. But I'm guessing by the time we finish Volume 1, there will already be another two chapters out. Anyways, Chapter 5 is already completely edited, which leaves Chapter 3 (LVD's handling that) and the last of Chapter 2 which I'm working on right now. I... I haven't heard from proudfer in months. I dunno what's happened to him... I'm not gonna say "We should be done by..." again since I will probably end up being undependable again... So as I've said over & over again, sorry for making you guys wait. I know you must be annoyed by now. But thank you for your cooperation and support.

That's not true, I mean, they're doing the translation, little by little, the problem is probably that people have things like school exams and all in the end of the year, but I'm sure that they're still doing the translation, we just need to wait a little more...

Is there something wrong with thanking them? Even if they've only done a little bit, I'm just appreciating that. They probably have school exams and other things like Nabiki stated. ^^
EDIT: Just re-reading the first 3 chapters. Is there a reason why the epitaph is different? Or did they just want to flush it around a bit? I love the art though I love the games more since there is more 'info' in it. XD Last edited by Saerianne; 2009-02-05 at 23:20. |

The handle of the stake seems to be much longer than I thought it would be. I thought they made a point of how difficult it would be to kill someone with it, because you couldn't get a good grip on its short handle?

It seems the size of the handle is correct albeit it could be a bit shorter.
But if you check the koma where you see both nanjo and natsumi, the handle isn't exactly big enough to have a good grip. The stake ARE supposed to be drill shaped, but the way it is drawn is not exactly convincing.
