I'm fine if is monthly, the most important thing is the magazine and the mangaka, some guys dare to do ports of novel with chapters of 18 pages and less in a monthly release, some of them don't even try drawing it well.
For example the Mushoku manga quality is not so great, who is reading it knows it (pages are low but the mangaka is speeding through the boring little child arc), RE:Monster have decent quality but the page count is medium-low, Shield hero is more or less good, quality and pages are ok. I remember the first Infinite Stratos manga, I would punch the guy who made it so much my fists would break. I know drawing a manga is not easy, I wouldn't be able to do it, but when the plot is already there and you have only to squeeze it is already many days for drawing gained. |

Mushoku Tensei has a manga?
You should consider the quality of the artist (not everyone will have a great artist to draw for a story and just because you don't like a certain art style, that doesn't necessarily mean it isn't drawn well) as well as how much content there is in the source material, especially if it's on-going. |

Ah. Finished going through it.
The tone has changed a bit. It seems to be focusing more on the comedy and adventure aspect of the story, which is a shame. I really did enjoy seeing Rudy's character progress. But it can't be helped, I suppose. You can't really fit all those internal monologue Rudy has into a manga format. |

That's the problem of converting some books into visual media. I'm sure it'd be easy enough to think up of some books that shouldn't really have been made into movies that have come out recently? Some stories are dependent on the mental processes of the character/s, so unless the manga or show emphasize it, it's obvious that there's going to be some discontentment.
With MT, it feels like the feelings and interactions of Rudy have become shallower. It's still alright, but it doesn't really 'connect' well for me mentally with the future events in the story. Feels less meaningful because of how clipped it is and how the artist focused more on gags. I don't hate it, though. It's still entertaining, but some of the scenes that made me feel for Rudy in the LN/WN just less heartfelt. Here's to hoping that Overlord's manga adaption fairs better, though. From what's been translated so far, it's less about character development and more about Ainz' interactions and plans. |

And with that I shall now spoil everyone on Chapter 5 part 1... Because I just finished it... and sent it for editing
Ainz kills everything with one hit. Albedo reflects a cannon ball Nigan grovels in terror. Man that was a good chapter I'm gonna go sleep now =.=

While I'm excited for the manga, So-Bin's art is so good I don't think I can accept any substitutions it's either So-Bin or no one at all. But on the flip side I'm glad that this great series can get more exposure it deserves it more than most others I know off, looking at you Mahouka and SAO. But seriously this is without a doubt one of the better light novels I have read, few others can compare to it. It has an overpowered but likable and competent main character and interesting support characters and it takes its time to build the world carefully, I don't think I can say enough nice things about this series. Also if you guys could check out Rokka no Yuusha it's another good novel, not similar to this one at all but good nonetheless, I want it to get more popular too
