So before Kamito left, he received a letter from Greyworth to be given to "your Ojou-samas" Also, it appear how Greyworth survived the Cursed Seal so long was due to the spirit-king's wish.
Outside the door, he meet one the spirit knight (Miko-looking one), she said she will be doing the healing, and was surprised Greyworth has a cursed seal on. The S.K made a offer to Kamito to join the Spirit knights, he refused, saying this is his second time (1st as Ash Renbell), then quickly took it back.
At that point, the Spirit knight said there is a jealous kitty watching, and of course, cue Claire hiding behind the curtain and then she left. Claire ask why he is not interested in joining the SK, he didn't say his real answer (Want to be with Claire and others)
Then they left to join a strategy meeting with the rest of the girls. It appear the Crossfire will involve girls being dropped at random--and no communication stones can be used.
Mira (Now Renselt's sis's maid) also did some research on the spirit wars, where the lesser spirits rebelled against the King, and some details on Ash Renbell (I can read up more if anyone is interested) The war definitely happened, as during the last great war, people were digging for spirit ores for the war effort and found a lot of evidence re: Ash Rendoll.
It eventually night fall, so everyone is heading into bed. Kamito gave the girls that letter, and......whatever it is inside, shocked the girls, commenting "NEVER, IMPOSSIBLE!" and "Well if it is the academy instructor..." and "But if we don't do it with Kamito...."

Chapter 2
Kamito is dropped on to a quarry and end up getting attacked by a ton of ghost-like spirits (I.E spirits who died with grudges), they all aim for Est so Kamito break out the "Strongest Sword Dance"
Ellis get dropped into fighting Lilly, who use poison gas and trap against her. Ellis is in trouble, getting paralyzed! Lilly's Spirit is a giant flower.
Fianna first has a cute scream as she almost ended up in a hentai film as dark spirits try to grope her. She fight her way out with her Knight, only run into a huge military fire spirit. I believe is the one Miru got from the Evil Priest (TM).
Now cue Restia, who is apparently in pain, apparently since 3 years ago she been cursed and the curse is slowly eating her. Of course, she then ran into one of the Knights that Kamito fought last time, the girl who swore vengeance on Ash Renbell. Ended up getting speared in the chest.

Claire is lost. :heh: Apparently, Fire kitties are not good as Est in term of directions. But of all things, she ran into Restia, who is half naked, wings broke and a giant spear in the chest.
Claire for obvious reasons (See V1, V2, V7 and more) is not a fan of Restia, but she realize that spirit belong to Kamito and is important to him, so she pull the spear out. They chat with each other for a bit, then Restia turned back into a sword. The Holy Knight girl showed up again, saying she can let Claire go if Claire hand over the sword.
Claire really, really wanted to....but then she remembered Kamito and brought out her Fire Whip. "You may take it by force"
As both of them exchange magic, suddenly The Holy Knight girl get tangled up by a whole bunch of shadow creatures, Claire use the chance, fireball the ground and ran off with Restia.
Flash back to Kamito, Kamito is fighting more and more then suddenly his hands burns (The one engraved with Restia). Try to search for her...then heard Ellis's voice (Wind Spirit carried it)
And showed up just to see Ellis half naked, a victorious Lilly over her, doing XXX...I mean, gloating while about to pull the Spirit Stone Ellis is wearing (if anyone lose their stones > 30 seconds, is GG and go home).
Kamito first remarks he is so glad to see Lily is alive as well, being a fellow Alumni and stuff, which give the time for Lilly to launch her attack.
He one shot the monster and said "You know that is not going to work on me."
Lilly then ran by summoning a plant to teleport her out of there.
Of course, Kamito get yelled up for seeing Ellis almost naked...again.

My opinion of Claire just increased by a factor of ten. It's one thing not just ditching her, but deliberately putting the whole contest on the line for Restia (who she doesn't like and sees as Kamito's ex, more or less) just because she is important to Kamito, is another entirely. Props, Claire.

Claire believe Restia is the reason Kamito joined the spirit dance-hence if Restia bite it, Kamito would lose all hope.
Hmm, it seem I had a translation error, it appear the holy knight is under the order of the "Holy Law organization" IE KBG-type of thing for her kingdom to find Restia, not merely want to fight "Ash Renbell"
Other than that, I think Claire want to ask Restia about Kamito's past, o lord, girls gossip :heh:

The girl that Rinslet meet at underground ruin is Iseria Seaweed (Iseria is the name of Water Spirit Lord. And the current name of Water Spirit Lord is Iseria Seavod). She has an amnesia and nice personality. She is sealed at that place and cannot go outside. So, who is the current Water Spirit Lord that frozen Judia Laurenfrost, Rinslet's sister?
Scarlet true name is Ortlinde, the Burning-Eyed War Princess(1 of 9 valkyries from "Der Ring des Nibelungen") but she prefer to call herself Scarlet Valkyrie. She's in the same class as Terminus Est = "Annihilation Spirit" (you can imagine that spirit like weapon. And "Annihilation Spirit" class is like nuke "Tsar Bomba"). Miur new spirit, Valaraukar is also in the same class but it seem that it's does not has personality like Scarlet and Est.
And it's a little funny how Claire know the true identity of Ren Ashbell.

Fighting by herself with Crimson Sickle as choice of weapon. With just small fireball can cause amazing explotion emitting a huge pillar of fire. Currently cannot be use by Claire as after that her body become cat again.

Not much info for Annihilation spirit. Just that they kill lot of spirit at that war. And the wondering spirit hostile/hate to them. Wondering spirit is like the ghost of the spirit.
Laventine still unknown.
The one that strong is not just Est, but sword style of Kamito.
Kamito Sword style is Zekkengi (Absolute Blade Art) which teach by Greyworth and his combat style from Kyōdouin (Instructional School) which utilize the surrounding for the advantage.
Zekkengi is sword style that push the body over the limit. Because of that, after Kamito using a kata, he always exhaust himself.
Zekkengi is sword style that greyworth using and winning Blade dance 24 years ago. The strongest Kata is combination with sword play and kagura dance.
That's why Rubia stronger than Kamito 3 years ago. Because she also combine her sword style and kagura dance.
When Kamito defeat valaraukar:
1st defeated
With Ellis as back up,
Kamito using Zekkengi - Ha no Kata, Retsukarasenkenbu Juuhachiren (Absolute Blade Arts - Form of Destruction, Bursting Blossom Spiral Blade Dance - 18 Consecutive Strikes)
Muir spirit engrave erased and Valaraukar was dying but revive again after consuming a lot of wondering spirit, become stronger.
Rinslet come to help.
2nd defeated and died
With Ellis and Rinslet as back up,
Kamito using Zekkengi - Ha no Kata, Retsukarasenkenbu nijuuren (Absolute Blade Arts - Form of Destruction, Bursting Blossom Spiral Blade Dance - 20 Consecutive Strikes)
For Scarlet Team, except Kamito, the rest is just ordinary high spirit contractor.
The order of strengh each team are:
1st Inferno
2nd Sacred Knight
3rd Dragon Knight
4th Scarlet
But Scarlet Team has strongest Team work that make them equal to the rest. So just by add Rinslet, They still can defeat stronger Valaraukar.
The strategy of Scarlet team is "Immediately Assemble with the other member. Except Kamito, avoid battling with anyone if you alone."
I'm actually pretty glad you guys are using my terminologies.

As spoiled before by others, Greyworth is in a hospital with Kamito, the two chatted on how she is no longer a contractor, and she leave the future to him, and insist he beat the fake Ash Renbell (Greyworth don't know who the fake A.R is), and she warn him about the war.
Kamito wanted to stay by her, but she said "Do you plan to XXX me since I am in a hospital?" He ran.
Then the Japanese-looking spirit knight show up
Why did you ran kamito. He should have take the opportunity and acquire experience lol. After all, they are friends. I hope after all the mess is resolve he develop a closer relationship with her & in the future improve to a romantic relationship with her. Could it be that kamito join forces with rubia to fight against the bad guys(whoever they are) to protect his harem.

So I have a theory after hearing the spoilers.
One mentioned that the real Water Spirit King(Queen?) was trapped and had amnesia. So maybe the real Spirit Kings were defeated and trapped during the "Spirit Wars" and replaced with evil impostors, maybe the demon kings spirits. Restia and Rubia are trying to free them, hence the "kill the spirit kings" wish.
To expand on this theory, maybe Kamito really is the Dark Spirit King and just has amnesia? It would explain why he can use spirits despite being a man.

I think we will get a double wielding because in v9 in the fight against muia kamito stated that doing his special techniques would be easier and with less strain to his body if he had to swords.and about est and restia's curses i think lifting them will be kamito's goal.Maybe the curses were caused by those fake elemental lords and the only way to cancel them is by killing the bastards.Finally, i think that all the blade dance festival thing is bullshit and that there some shitty purpose behind it.

One of the few inconsistent thing in the story was how 3 years ago when Kamito met Greyworth, Greyworth said it would be major trouble if people found out a man is capable of being a spirit contractor would lead to many governments want to hunt him down.
3 years later, he is top of the blade dance....and the world does nothing but complain about his lecherous ways.

It is scattered. I believe some of the other people had summaries around. I did some for specific chapters. I could do some on demand.

No, when he got out the INSTRUCTION SCHOOL, Restia was sealed. Our poor 12-13 years would die to see her smile again :heh:, so he accepted an assassination request from the CORPSE DEALERS. Thinking is just a murder job on some old lady. Of course, as soon as he walk in he get instant gibed by purple lightning.
When he wake up, she said she was surprised to see a male contractor. When she found out his wish is to free Restia, she agree to help him free Restia if he be her slave...I mean maid. As it would be odd for the Dusk witch to have a male servant, not to mention it would freak out a lot of people if people, including the IMPERIAL ARMY/KNIGHTS, to find a spirit contractor with balls~
So poor Kamito for the next years had to dress as a maid, while
1) accept sword training by Greyworth, since his sword skills are "too ugly" (Assassination skills)...at this point she is already grooming him for the Blade Dance.
2) Dispose other assassins (As Greyworth put it, taking out the trash is a maid's duty)
3) Clean the house
4) Wash
5) Make food
6) Catch fire elemental for heating when Rubia went on that rampage which pissed off the Fire Lord.
Etc...
Then one night some thief try to sneak in the steal the book that can unseal Restia, which got Kamito into mortal combat to defend the book. As he was almost winning, he got....Purple Lightning again.
It turned out the attacker was Greyworth, but when he woke up, she agree to unseal Restia, who the first line was "You made me wait a long time, Kamito."~

I just took a glance at the official webite of this LN and surprised that there's still no drama CD yet (There's only that crappy PV with shitty animation which gave me headache) nor any plan to create one (I just used Google translate with crappy result). Wonder why they created Drama CD for LN with Questionable plot like seikoku dragonar but not with the awesome one like this.

He is also being called "A licentious beast-demon king" as his rep is now international.
Leonora brandish her sword, DRAGON SLAYER, while Kamito had to pull out EST.
Claire show up demanding what Leonora is doing with HER slave, while Leonora called Claire "Kamito sex slave #1", spark fly (literally)
Then something slam into the Ship, a huge military spirit (Death Ge'ez) attack the ship. Kamito and the two girls collapse in a heap, with Claire threatening blood and murder for touching her A-cups, while Leonora faint while saying "male...touch...my chest..." etc
Kamito and Claire tried to kill the spirit (some fight scene etc), then Leonora show up and one shot the damn thing with her Dragon.

They spell his name like a westerner's to fit with the western-fantasy theme, so it doesn't actually have any set definition. It's spelled カミト, but there's several ways to spell Kamito using kanji, so everything is more than likely just going to be speculation. Fitting with the theme of Demon Lords and whatnot, 神人 (Godly/divine man) is one likely possibility. Same with Kazehaya, but it most likely means something like gust, or a 'fast' breeze.

Technically for Japanese speakers, names written in kana do not have any particular meaning, e.g. みゆき does not mean anything, while any kanji name with the same reading does mean something. This is what I learned from my sensei. IMO names written in kana have more potential for jokes/word puns in fiction. What they mean is up to the imagination of readers, as you can interpret them in more than one way.

His first wish was to murder all 5 elemental lords, there has been some strong hints the current lords may be impersonators, especially in Volume 9, where the Lady of Water is found imprisoned in a underground cave. Restia apparently is also "corrupted" and soon will become the "enemy of the world" and her current wise is to be killed by Kamito before that happens

If this got an anime who would u want voicing the main characters IE Claire kamito fianna rinslet and ellis.

Ok I got another question that's been bugging me. If restia is still kamito's spirit how does he have 2 spirits and if resti a still likes kamito why does she still try to hurt or kill him?
You can have more than one spirit, but you can only have one active at any given time.
The Demon King is a notable exception for being able to use more than one at once.

The ironic part is i'm not convinced rubia is on board with Restia's plan actually but i'm wondering when rubia confronts Claire. As for translation my only complaint is im curious about Volume 4 and 5 a little more then volume 6

Vol.8 are the resting day between preliminary (tempest 24 teams) and final (4 teams).
Fianna, Rinslet, and Ellis come back to their families to report that they got to the Final. Coz Kamito and Claire don't have anything to do, they go watching movie together. At that, Kamito continued the story after he left the instructional School. She attempt to assasinate Greyworth coz she has a book how to unseal Restia. The funny thing is:
Greyworth : "Become my Shounen"
Kamito : "I refuse"
(When i reading that, the scene like maoyuu maou yuusha)
In exchange of unseal Restia, Kamito working as a maid. The story end before Kamito participate at blade dance.
There is also a story about Claire and Rinslet the first time they meet.
Leonora feeling uneasy when thingking about Kamito. She tought that because she want to fight him badly (actually, she falling in love with him. But Leonora being raising as knight didn't know about love). She write a challange letter (invitation for date) to Kamito and so on.
about the contest, Leonora want a a doll (forgot it's teddy bear or dragon) which the 2nd price for the contest. Fianna ad Ellis that stalking them from the beginning, assume that Kamito and Leonora want the 1st price (The ticket to spent the night for couple at royal hotel. The hotel that especially for royal family). Milla and Rinslet's 9 year-sister (forgot her name) also participate.
At the meeting place, Kamito met the granfather of Ellis and he approve Kamito for Ellis. He also give warning if Kamito make Ellis crying, He will kill him. After meeting, Greyworth calling Kamito to teach him the last technique of Zekkengi. The vol.8 end with Greyworth dieying.

Well, technically not Velestria, it was a very brief moment when she realized Kamito = Ash Renbell, but by the next chapter she wanted him to take Ellis.
Kamito meet the legendary uncle in V8 I believe, and he highly implied it would be greatly appreciated if he married Ellis--and imply the entire Frangart family shall be his enemies if he break her heart.
To Kamito, he thought he would be beheaded if he did touch her. (Which means poor Kamito in V9 had to be very careful in healing Ellis in that water pool, who was under a sex drug and could barely control herself)

Dual blade would be awesome. I think 1/2 the tread was talking about when the thread first started picking up.. BTW since Est is a cursed blade is Restia a curse blade too? Just wondering, I have not seen that discussed in the BT translations or in any summaries.

And the one chosen to lead them was the newly appointed Flame Queen, a girl only fifteen years old.
While the other princess maidens rested in shifts, she alone focused all her efforts on sustaining the prayer with neither rest nor sleep.
At the same time, the imagery of the people devoured by the crimson flames was branded deeply in her red eyes.
The rain of destruction finally halted on the morning of the fourth day.
Streets that had been bustling mere days earlier were now turned into a wasteland of scorched earth.
Homes were all incinerated, leaving nothing behind but ashen gray despair.
The peaceful everyday life the townsfolk had worked hard to maintain was transformed into ash in but an instant.
And after all had ended--
"The merciful Elemental Lord has heard our prayers."
The elderly shrine leader spoke to comfort the prostrated Queen.
However, the young Queen covered her ears and shook her head.
I wasn't able to do anything. I failed to protect them -- that was what she thought to herself.
"Why... Why did the Elemental Lord do such a thing to innocent citizens..."
"Rubia-sama, the will of the Elemental Lords cannot be understood by mortal humans. All we can do is pray for forgiveness. Rubia-sama, you have already done spectacularly."
In actual fact, amongst the people of the destroyed town, there was no one who had a single complaint. Having had all their possessions taken away by a tyrannical and unreasonable disaster, the townsfolk felt nothing but sincere gratitude towards the Queen who had placated the Elemental Lord's wrath.
--Nevertheless, such gratitude stabbed into girl's heart and soul, more painfully than any vicious curse.
It's no wonder she betrayed the Elemental Lords and want them dead.

Well, yeah looking like it. The story is progressing well, the first couple of volumes were just introduction of the girls, their history, values, and etc. From vol 6 and on, the main plot has taken rise. Rubia knows very well what she has done and the consequences that befall onto her closest people she cherish. Even if Rubia done it with good intention, I can see what is going to happen when Claire and Fianna meet up with her again.

Lolz, vol 10 is coming and vol 9 has just arrived at my house today. Hand-shipping sure saves a lot of money, but the wait is just too long.
